Why did we forget everything about the last Battlefield version and cancel all updates, just because a new Battlefield was released ?

What a shame it would be if Battlefield 3 was to be forgotten. The game is perfect for competitions. See Counter-Strike for example - they didn't change their game for many years yet it is still attractive. It's the same with Battlefield 3.

When BF4 came out, all the BF3 teams went to BF4. Some liked it, some didn't.

For example:
Out of 100 teams, 30 started playing BF4 competitive. 20 kept playing BF3 and the other 50 teams disbanded.
There were so many talented teams out there, many of which are forgotten now.

Most of the players have a next gen console now and of course they wanna use it. I also have Xbox One, but I use it for playing cool games with great graphics together with friends to have a lot of fun. But I play competitive on PS3 BF3, because there is no next gen game out there which can replace BF3.
How would it be, when all the ex PS3 guys moved back to BF3 and created new teams, played with their old teams, played CSL 5v5 or started FN again.
