Great Weapon. Also seems that it has very low spread while being suppressed. Shoots like a Laser Beam :D

From what I gathered, the game gun has perfectly vertical kick.

The gun is unreliable.

it has initial recoil, which turns me off in many ways seeing as its semi-designed to go for long range kills but the initial recoil ruins the ability to do that on semi auto

but I find the AK-74m as being more able to do long range fighting seeing as it has less initial recoil as the L85

where if you burst at ranges, the initial recoil ruins that, with the AK having low initial recoil, there is more of an ability to full auto or at least longer bursts at range.

the AUG is similar to the L85, which turns me off.

I love this gun personally, I've only gotten ACOG with it and I still love this thing. Just my personal preference.

thats what it is personal preference! I absolutely love this gun and it hasn't budged from the weapon of choice for my assault class since I unlocked it <3

Got the Aug what, 2 weeks ago? It already tops my assault rifles in kills by close to 200. Top in KPM too. I've tried every combination of attachments and I find cobra/holo + heavy barrel to be the best. My favourite before the AUG (and patch) was the L85, but the slightly higher ROF has made the AUG my gun of choice.

NOTE even though the initial recoil is high, it's easy to keep it steady after. Most people fire extremely short bursts, as this is what is required to control the M16 or AEK.. With both the AUG and L85 you can maintain fire after adjusting to initial recoil and get most shots on target. Anything longer than short range the AUG will come out on top in the right hands.

Yep, got to agree with this. The AUG makes you lose a lot of gunfights.

I'd actually like to see reviews that compare weapons to the M16a3, seeing as the M16 is meant to be the all-rounder weapon it makes sense for it to be the benchmark against other weapons.

Basically I would like to see what advantages/disadvantages reviewed weapons have compared to the M16. For example, in this case I'd like to know why you might choose the AUG over the M16. Where does it beat the M16 and where does it fall short?

The AUG is not meant for close gunfight its meant for far fire fights without the enemy seeing you it barely has recoil but you get F$#ed if you close to some with a high fire rated weapon
