Sorry this took so long buddy, Ive done a video on every guide. Took around 4 days to get them threw the encoding process tho. If you look at the bottom of any thread you are having problems with there is a video explaining it fully.

Hey, so I'm having this problem again, I get disconnected from the EA login server. The ECN fix worked for me until today. (Yes, I've tried to redo it). Any other possible fixes?

Aye i remember buddy hmm, There is a windows side upnp factor you could try seen it posted around forums 2 secs

ughhh http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows-vista/Enable-or-disable-network-discovery [windows.microsoft.com]

that does not seem right. Have a google .. There is a windows method

and yes admittidley this one i don't know cant find her in forum search, i remember it was under EA disconnects or something and contained a small guide , it requires going inside Services.msc i remember that. Dunno

Could the OP perhaps post it here if hes looking please

So basically if you're on wireless then screw you? I do all my gaming in wireless and don't have the option to connect my PC to the router directly, no other games have any problems (except rare occurances), but in BF3 I get disconnected like every 5-10 minutes.

This all started happening for me recently. I played throughout the first week w/o any major problems, and only in the past few days have I been getting disconnected frequently. Nothing has changed on my end.

@nakedtorsoguy

same here i always played on wireless, never had any problems and now the most anticipating game for me BF3 has problems with it (probably). Blehh.
I also tried a lot of possible fixes, none worked:

-Reinstalled/repaired BF3
-Updated Realtek HD driver (and NVIDIA Graphics Driver)
-Disabled UPnP on my router
-Disabled SSPD Discovery and UPnP device host on PC
-Checked hosts files for EA links
-Portforwarded my router to make sure all my ports are open to play BF3
-Updated PB

Some nights EA servers will go under high stress. It is vital to cross check twitter @battlefield for service announments, and the server your playing on. Also check your family is not killing your internet connection + you have reset your pc and router in the past x amount of time.

If all this is false then something else might be causing it, you know like something that has changed in the time of u playing fine to u gettin problemoz

I want to thank you for taking the time to post this compilation of fixes.

In my case I was getting constant disconnects from the server and the port forwarding seems to have done the trick.

This thread ought to be stickied.

I'm having the same issue and im connected directly to my modem. "You were disconnected from EA Online".

I'm not using an antivirus and my firewall is disabled.

Gave my friend his log in info so he could play under my account on his pc to see if it happened, and it worked fine.

I've uninstalled/reinstalled Orgin and Battlefield 3, punkbuster and its updates, as well as tried on 3 different browsers.

We have a continuing discussion over here with still no results

More then one PC is trying to play BF3 at the same time
This will cause disconnects as the port is the same for every launch it appears. Use this guide located here in order to apply a different port. Be very very carefull and take it step by step

That didn't work for me unfortunately :|. Still stuck connecting with 2 people on the same network.

First of all whoever wrote this needs to get a clue. DO NOT DISABLE YOUR FIREWALL, DO NOT PUT YOUR PC IN A DMZ. There is simply no excuse for having to open and/or forward ports to play this game. These noob programmers who created this game need to be fired for what has to be the worst gaming code I have seen in years. BF2 had it right so please someone explain the logic 9or lach thereof) behind why it had to change and force a player to lower the security posture of their system.

i wonder if its just a problem with how the game is launched in a web browser. was coding an in game ui for a few menus too hard? do console players have to do the same thing?
