Man these sections are pissing me off..
Do you wait til the letter comes up and hit it multiple times? Took me like 15-20 times to kill the guy cutting the wire. Now I'm in the section where they climb into the bank bathroom and this chuck norris guy takes out 2?
Should I just let the scene play at hit E and hold or repeatedly? The mouse shows up later, is it multiple clicks throughout or just when the mouse icon shows up?
Agreed. This console port crap is pissing me off. So often I don't any indication at all of what I am supposed to press and when. This was badly done on the PC. But multiplayer has potential!
Ok..I figured it out, you have to wait for the prompt before you start pushing. Im just not used to not doing anything while being attacked.
Wait for the E icon to appear Hit E
Wait for the mouse icon to appear Hit LMB
I figured this out after repeated pushing E and mouse clicks at different times aka E.Honda Hand and Chun Li Kick style.

Developers are turning games into action versions of Dance Dance Revolution.
Don't doubt my drawing powers.
agree with OP, the interactive aspect of hand to hand combat is just bad.
it was fine on CoD:MW2, on BF3 it looks like a last minute hack
why wont they just let me knife them ?
Yeh just spend 30 mins on this. Very badly done.
Yeah you follow the prompt the mouse icon turns red, WTF is that all about
I too am completely frustrated by this, as the "Game Manual" gives no info on how to hand to hand /knife...GREAT JOB EA!!!!
Yay! Finally someone figured it out. I was getting frustrated with the nuclear carrier guy. I kept losing and thrown on the train tracks. I will try this now.
You guys must be pretty awful at games if you couldnt figure that out... I especially like the Street Fighter Button Basher.

I agree. This is the worst game play I have ever seen for the fight scenes. It is stupid to have to try 100 times to hit shit in the exact correct sequence and time, just to get past one spot. If I don't get past the train track portion soon, I will sell the stupid game and go buy MW3.
I finally figured the rail road track scene. In the last fight scene you had to keep pressing E. In this one, You press E once, and don't touch it at all. Then when it comes up with the mouse button, only hit it once and not again. Then wait till it says to hit space. Every scene you have to do different things. It should be the same each time. How about a patch EA.......Or this may be my last in the Battlefield or EA games..
I'll take your advice Old Snake. Yes, Rev I am awful but I'm learning. In my day you didn't stop after one move
Brilliant idea to add hand to hand combat, i will agree with u, need Bruce Lee or Jacky Chen style in BF3 :)

Fucking retarded and impossible to pass this section of the game. I'm no novice, I am expert at the game itself but to try and guess when and how and hwo many times to press "E" and some mouse button at a certain time? FUCKING FUCK YOU FUCKFACES. I FUCKING HATE THIS FUCKING SHIT, the SP game is shit anyway, but nice to look at, I was just dicking around and this is a fucking goatfuck of a fucking bullshit bad programming fuckup. FUck you. I have failed this little sequence about 15 times, takes about 4 minutes each time, you fucking cocks.
Don't blame the game if the game is fine. I beat the SP in 6 hours on hard on 25.10.2011. Died/failed under 10 times during the whole thing. Also, 1.1.2012 is a cool date.

took me some time to get past this one
When you see the mouse icon, you have to move the mouse back and forth while clicking mouse button (could be forth only thou since i only did it once and it worked)
It was really annoying trying to do it over and over again
You seriously have to be mentally challenged to be unable to complete a simple QTE session
I agree... it sucks... and makes no sense. Duh...
Pathetic waste of time, put simply. Its fine to be challenging, but in the right ways and for the right reasons. Making something difficult in a way that requires trained monkey responses defeats the purpose of the game. If I wanted that, I'd play sudoku like my wife does.
