Kudos to the OP for doing this, but a fair warning, this content is not verified, and could potentially be harmful to your game/pc.

NOT that I am saying it is dodgy....

You are welcome to virus scan the content if you like, you are correct the content is not verfied. It would be unwise for me to host potentially harmful content on my own web server. That could quite easily come back and bite me in the arse :)

You might want to add what language patch you have, as people who are using a different language will have much different results such as our Italian friend above.

The Locale is EN

Above is an English only update

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\Update\Patch\Data\Win32\Loc\

This folder has the locale information for the patch, if anyone can give me the URL's to their locale I will host alternate language packs

the .sb file and .toc file are quite small but contain the language information.

If you are willing to provide the updated versions of these files I will create additional .rar files for other users and their languages as the actual patch content is exactly the same, bar these 2 files.

I have a friend which would appreciate that, as he has really slow connection, but how trustworthy this is, did DICE/EA give that option somewhere, any direct link?
So, downloading it for him and burn it to DVD would be like an early Christmas present for him xD

I have no reason or intention to make anything untrustworthy and place it on my own server, Yes you download at your own risk as with everything you download from the net.

I would always virus check EVERYTHING downloaded regardless of if you think the source is legit.

I'll see what friend says, I am lucky to have "fast" connection, got game patched within 30min while his download could take up to 6h :F

I have re-added the second web server after increasing its upstream capacity. As over 30 people are currently grabbing the content from the primary web server.

I had downloaded with origin 84% and then it was again back to 10% and now it is at 27% with origin.
If it again get back ill download with it.

Does this include B2K content? Since Origin's file is 3.9GB but this is 3.2GB?

I was wondering the same. But maybe its due to the Winrar compression.

Thanks very much for this ... i originally bought the game through Origin and had to get EA to refund because of borked downloads ... got it on disc and 3rd attempt at this update failed again @ 96% ... you're a hero buddy !

after putting the files there it kept restarting the download. but i clicked repair install. and works fine now

I did 80% compression to reduce the file size, this was 'best' compression with winrar to help the people with slower connections to get the file more quickly.

Massive thank you for letting me know, it appears if you use an alternate locale you will need to perform a repair then let the files install.

this repair canges the locale folder I mentioned earlier in my posts.
