wtf 2 days off so i can finally play and now i get this after playing for a few hrs today.you were kicked by PunkBuster. Stated reason: PunkBuster kicked player 'Hells_Christ' (for 2 minutes) ... Ignoring MD5Tool Queries

In case you ar using avast antivirus: googleing gave me a hint to try to currently switch off the programm when joining onto a server. Right click the avast logo in your taskbar and switch off avast for only ten minutes, that works for me.
But this can't be longtime solution.....

And i clicked on 'pbsv.exe ' ticked 'Install/Re-Install PunkBustwe Service' then went though the process cam out succsessful and it now works fine.

not been on for over a month because of this fucked up PB keep kicking me!!! just tried it again and still doing it!!!! thanks a fucking lot EA guess i won't be buying anymore of your shit games then!!!! and you can shove this one up your arse!!!!

I found another problem that solved it for me. I recently did a fresh re-install, and I notice that the pbsv.exe file was missing from
C:\Program files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield3

and manually copy pbsvc.exe to the root directory:

So,
copy C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\__Installer\punkbuster\redist\pbsvc.exe C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3

And then everything worked!

I'm having the same problem. Tried this and it did not work. Game was running fine a couple days ago for me.

Punkbusters probably the worst program ever to exist -.- I was gonna play BF3 or BC2 today and both kick me cause of PnkBstrB.exe initialization failed...

it s 1 of the best but lots of people dont know how to use it, initialization failed is normally fixed by reinstalling pb with PBSVC.exe tool in your BF3 folder,then restarting your pc

I moved the file then ran it.

I was going to play BF3 but when i joined a server it said that I was banned reason punkbuster. I am starting to get very angry now D:

I went to the website, downloaded the the windows version, run it, added BF3 and then let it update. After restarting my computer it is fine. Hope it helps.

same problem, pb kicks me out the game after 2 min playing, updating/reinstalling pb didn't helped
Back to far cry ;)
