at 3:06 local time, my clan mate Moxman informed me that my GUID was banned from GGC and Pbbans.
During that time, i was in game on steam playing F1 2011 and talking on TS3 with 2 friends.
I could not believe it till i saw it on GGC my self.
Not only that, my account name has TWO GUID's, which is impossible.
I also run two servers that stream to GGC, and the MD5 tool hack that is linked to my account was caught from the UK and Austria with IP's that do not match mine.
Someone out there is using some sort of GUID scanner and using it for cheats/hacks.
I sent GGC a ticket explaining all this, i hope something can be done about it.
Just giving you guys a head's up if you get a sudden ban even when you are not online.
Here is my IP details:
:
IP address state: Bayern
IP address city: Eging
IP address latitude: 47.9667
IP address longitude: 12.7167
ISP of this IP : Deutsche Telekom AG
Organization: Deutsche Telekom AG
Host of this IP: : p4FD096AC.dip0.t-ipconnect.de
Local time in Germany: 2012-01-12 03:18
Yet both GUIDs are from UK and Austria...

The important question for noobs like myself here is: If we suspect this has happened to us, what steps can we take to find the information to confirm this? Relatively new to PC gaming, and have never had to deal with finding things like IP and GUID and all the other techno-babble.

I noticed a few of the vocal cheaters with "AA" in their name have kinda disappeared for a while. I wonder if it will last. Seemed like they started messing with some scary internet tough guys and then *poof* its like they just vanished.

Well think about it the hackers are being banned, then poof they are back again the next day. obviously they are using false GUID info which is most likely randomly generated or stolen some how, either way normal players will have identical info as these are being randomised each time.
With random stats someone will have the real original GUID but GGC and Pbbans wont know the difference.
We the consumers lose out to hackers again....

If you have received a permanant ban, and are on the master ban list for PB, then your GUID has been caught cheating, doesn't mean it was you, but it's the same GUID. GUID's are supposed to be generated off the CD Key, so they are unique to each player, i've seen many ppl being kicked for duplicate CD Key over the years, you'd think that was the kick, so basically PB ignored the fact it had 2 identical GUID's and banned for the cheat.
At least I assume that's what you are saying.
Bottom line is, evenbalance, and/or PBBANS need to provide the exact proof it was you upon appeal, or the ban is wrong and has to be lifted. If they refuse then EA need to issue you with a new CD Key.
I had the problem a long long time ago with Medal of Honor Pacific something, assault was it ? Can't remember right, I tried the MP and got kicked for duplicate CD KEY or GUID can't remember which.
EA gave me a new one, said they knew of a Keygen that made CD Keys.

Lets just bring the common place features used by banks and Facebook to implement a security question if you try to log on from a different IP address. Well thought out security question and poof, your account remains yours.

Hacking is spreading each day. New hacks come out all the time.
Yesterday, I played a server with a hacker that got 157:5 IAR. I went to bookmark his account & it did not come up on Battlelog Search. I found the Battle Report at the end of the match.
His in-game name was different from the name on the Battle Report.
Smerfing is now official.

U sure wasnt your bro or your cat playing bf3? That was an easiest excuse....and u can get ip adress by using various IP reroute programs and tunneling software.
