Best Sniper in BF3?

Longest headshot,483 meters,not that I did better but that is hardly the best sniper.

Who says you have to be the longest to be the best?

Having the longest head shot is hardly the criteria I would look at when determining a snipers skill. 90% of the really long shots made by snipers are set up shots on their buddy.

If it were up to me I would use weapon accuracy. Number of kills with bolt actions. And head shot percentage.

K/D and SPM would only get peripheral consideration.

Having the longest sniper head shot does not mean you are a good sniper, it just proves how useless you are. A good sniper knows how to utilize all their gadgets and know their sniping placements.

best way to judge a sniper is see what % of his sniper rifle kills are headshots.

That's not necessarily true. It's not as easy to get headshots with semi-automatic rifles, as it is with bolt action. Especially if you don't have a bipod for it. Also, just because you have a long distance headshot, it does not mean it had to have been set up with a buddy. Some people are just good. Also how does having a long range headshot make you useless?

Yeah. Recon Marines don't carry sniper rifles. Snipers carry Sniper Rifles.

Exactly, semi crap rifles for recon are pointless unless a person is a spammer with bullets and just throwing inaccurate fire at a target. Bolt actions are what a person would use if they are intent on getting a good amount of headshots. Yet I like your points on the long range headshots, mine is pretty far and definitely not a staged shot.

Sgt. Enigma is easily the best Recon player in BF3 (and bfbc2 imo) just look him up on youtube.

Shit Fuzion. My longest is 655. The most annoying thing, is when you see a potential long range shot, and you move just a couple of meters back just to make that little difference, and you end up like 2 or 3 meters short of your record. I don't really mind Semi Automatic rifles after the bipod. I have 303 kills with the Mk11.

I used them until I unlocked the first bolt action, the sv98 I think. Since then I have never used a semi. I use to 'lone wolf' a game and just find a good recon/sniper position and post up. Marking infantry and vehicles for the team, and sometimes used soflam for the engineers if I had some in my squad, I always played with randoms before. So at times it was fun trying to pick of the snipers at extreme ranges, especially if they pinned down an objective and I located them. Killed my stats like spm and things for awhile playing like that but it was fun. I also have numerous headshots on moving targets beyond 700 meters, infantry running and even those in vehicles. Pretty fun and effective once you get the grasp on estimating the range and mil-dots.

Yeah, but with your M98, compared to your kills, you don't have a lot of headshots. What do you use, Ballistic and Straight Pull Bolt?
