As stated, I dont really know whats happening. My friend and I are trying to join the same server, but either one of us wounds up getting kicked 5 minutes later. We tried joining different servers too, but with the same annoying result. Either that or this "You were disconnected from EA Online (1)" or "Game disconnected: could not join server." message comes out DX

Anyone can help shed some light into this? o__o

got no new info for you but it happens to my friends and i as well usually when we come out dominating. We now will knowingly run into gun fights just to die a couple times before we really start to play and it seems to b working. Ps3

X__X I forgot to mention that we are in the same house, sitting side by side and still can't get it to work. We tried switching rooms just in case there was some kind of invisible force field or something, resetting the router, restarting our comps, and yet this message still comes out.

Only when I play in a different house then are we only able to play in the same server with no problems O_O

How to play BF3 with multiple PCs on a LAN with UPnP disabled ?

*Credit goes to P1nchedNerve
(Just a note, I didnt think you could do this with origin like you can with steam, but apparently you can!)

eg) Edit each computers BF3 executable to include the " -port XXXXX" (as long as each PC uses a different port)

Computer A = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\bf3.exe -port 10000"

Computer B = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\bf3.exe -port 10001"

Computer C = "C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\bf3.exe" -port 10002"

Will this work for me? And why haven't EA fixed this issue since it has been around since day 1.

I have 5 PC's in the same house all connected to the same router, 3 of those PC's are used for gaming, all 3 can play BF3 at the same time either on the same server or each on different servers.
I have not manually opened any ports nor have I disabled UPnP. They all 'just' work.
2 PC's are running Win 7 Home Premium and the other is running Win 7 Ultimate, all are 64bit.

Sorry to hear your having issues with it though, I only posted to re-assure you it is possible for multiple PC's to play BF3 from the same house/network.

P.S: Obviously we have 3 copies of the game, each with their own different CD-Key/Serial.
Surely the time you are spending reading this signature would be better spent reading the text on top of it?

Thanks Grumps, I will double check my router settings and report back.
I have turned off UPnP, when I've tried to add the port settings to the end of the .exe file as shown above the program will not run...did I miss something?
