lmg ribbon

I need the lmg ribbon. I know the simple answer is to just equip the lmg and play until you get it. However, I hate and I mean absolutely hate LMGs. I am awful with them and I hate lying down with a bipod (though that may be the way to get this ribbon) I find them to be inaccurate and with way to much recoil. They lose to assault players and USAS players and alot of carbines too.

So: to get this ribbon in the easier manner and shortest time possible does anyone have any suggestions about maps and locations where this is an effective weapon? Any good suggestions would be appreciated.

If you don't like the recoil and all, try the M27 IAR or RPK. They are more AR-styled.

would that still count for the ribbon? I've used the IAR a bit but not much.

LMG's are LMG's. But i know alot of assault guys who use the RPK/M27 when being support, to not get owned by high recoil fire.
M27 has higher RoF then RPK, RPK has better control and less recoil.

Yeah mate any gun in the Support class is an LMG. I preferred the M249, once the fore grip as unlocked it was a beast.

Heard M60E4 is total domination post-patch now.
Going to try it out in combination with Bipods...

Put a suppresor on it helps with the recoil and provides some nice stealth. Oh ya and foregrip as others have mentioned. Also the longer your firing the more control you have.

Gentlemen, thank you all for your replies. I took the advice given, equipped the rpk on seine crossing and got my ribbon on the first try. Now one more kill with it for the B2K lmg assignment (which should be a piece of cake) and I can go back to assault and engineer. Again, thanks for the advice.

Well, u probably dont have the M60 or M24, so I'd say the M27 or RPK. Use it on TDM. Get that straight, it'll be easy on TDM close quarters

Try tapping the fire button in controlled bursts.
A military exercise is carried out over the Bandar Desert. The paratroopers have jumped out of the C-130. Suddenly, a soldier yells to his Squad Leader: Soldier: "Sir! My parachute doesn't open!" Officer: "Don't worry soldier! This is just an exercise"

try one of the LMGs that are not belt fed. the big ones like the m240b, pkp and m249 have large spread and i find them unwieldy. start with the starters as they are like their assault rifle , after that i find the mg36 the best

see and i prefer the M249 or the M240B... just depends on play style. I've been using all of them lately trying to get the 5star dogtags for all the lmg's. Kinda lets you get a better understanding of the class and whats best for you. LMG ribbon should be a piece of cake for you if you follow what everyone else has been saying about controlled bursts and whatnot.

^ Basically what they said. The M27 or RPK is your best bet if you're not that good with the heavier LMGs. Good luck =]
