Problem with Browser plugin

I haven't played BF3 for like 4 weeks, then today I tried to play again. The game downloaded the patch normally and is, according to Origin, up to date.

The problem is that I can't launch the game because here on the battlelog, it says there's an update available. Then I downloaded the browser plugin and "installed". But for some reason, it doesn't install properly. It starts the installation and completes it very quickly, but it looks like nothing happens at all, since the warning here on the battlelog (game manager) saying that there's an update available is still there.

Anyone else having this problem? How can I solve it?

Edit: this is the message I got when trying to join the game:
"Download and install the latest Browser Plugin to play the game".

I am using google chrome and windows 7 64 bits and "battlelog-web-plugins-1.118.0-retail-prod" is the name of the plugin.

Go to control panel "add / remove programs". Uninstall battlelog plug in. Reinstall and then try and launch. Should resolve issue. Please report back with results.

I had this issue and i tried just to uninstall the plugin and install it again but didn't work.
In control panel says that i have version 1.118 but my browser (firefox) couldn't run it.

My solution is:
1. uninstall web plugin
2. uninstall browser (all modifications,favorites ect.)
3. restart computer
4. install browser
5. install web plugin
6. restore favorites and play the game
7. have fun :)

it says i need to install the latet brwoser plugin, but when i click on the blue arrow at the top right, the only download buttonis for the update of the plugin, not the actual plugin iself.

I Had the same problem, tried many things to fix, it works well now when I changed the browser from explorer to Google chrome.
set Google Chrome to be your default browser, and hopefully will work for you.

Hi

I had the same problem.But I changed my default browser from Internet Explorer to Google Chrome.
Problem ended.

Do not operate the removal of the game from the computer, the currency did not succeed.

I resolved the browser plugin issue my resetting internet explorer (tools->internet options->advance->reset)

You forgot :
Lowlevel format your hard drive
install linux
install firefox

format your hard drive again
then install windows 7 32 bit
install bf3 and voila your problems solved :)

Completely uninstall Battlelog plugin by using the Control Panel - Programs; Features/Add Remove Programs. Once uninstalled, clear your browser cache, cookies and temp files. Now you're need to reinstall in a clean state. Find the browser plugin (most likely in your Downloads folder) and run the program. It will install the plugin and you should be set!
