Thanks For Ruining BF3 By Removing DICE Servers

As of right now, I will not purchase any future DLC from DICE until they fix the official servers issues.

After 15 minutes of searching on Xbox 360 and doing filter adjustments, the only official servers I can find are the ones that are like "P124334", and those aren't even DICE servers, they're EA, and rare.

There was a standardization of BF3 that I enjoyed since the game launched last year but now with the rented server mess, that standardization is completely gone.

I wouldn't mind playing on a rented server if the server was actually decent and was running a standard setting, but that's impossible to find. People are either running servers with maxed out tickets for conquest (stat padding whores) or they're making up ridiculous "house" rules and will kick/ban you for no reason.

So thanks DICE, thanks for taking my beloved BF3 game and killing it. I hope you enjoy my percentage of the $64 sale that EA gives you. Just know that I will not be buying anything else for BF3 until you guys fix this. I also encourage anyone else who's fed up with these issues to also not buy the upcoming DLC.

*I was really looking forward to the new DLC, but because of the current methods of finding a decent standard server, I am not buying it.

I can't understand how DICE thought this would be a good idea to just have rented servers as the only means to play this game. Not everyone enjoys playing 1000 ticket conquest games. Likewise, I'm sure there are people out there who do enjoy those types of games and that's fine, but create options for us to search for only EA/DICE servers, and exclude rented ones.

tl;dr

I like the rent a server......but I do wish I could find some normal games.....without 700 thousand tickets. There are some though.....I generally favorite those.

If you have an idea about how EA and DICE can make profit without the use of FREE servers, go right ahead. Be glad there are people willing to buy private servers so that you can play on them

Don't know why you are complaining, just find a server with no rules.

Doesn't work anymore. People have named their servers after DICE and official DICE ones are no longer coming up in search. To my belief, they're all removed.

actually I agree with you 100% and I don't usually agree with a vast majority of rubbish on these forums lol
i actually don't have no where near as much fun on bf3 as I once did because of this issue and I'm playing bf3 less and less compared to the amount of game time I once spent playing it and thats coming from someone who does not get easily upset about changes to bf3, I Prefer to adapt rather then cry about what was and what is.

Dice I seriously think you have a really bad problem on your hands because if ailfykinz is complaining ( and alfykinz rarely does ) then somethings actually wrong with the game. Serious serious! 100% high quality feedback! XD

Go to search and just type in DICE and they will pop up I promise,,,but look out for the rent a servers that use the DICE name, look to see if it is a real dice server

last night in my region (Australia) there was ONE Dice server running....Conquest Original Maps.

i went to my 'history' & saw the other Dice servers i play on had no ppl in them & weren't in the main playlist.

it's all very under-handed & miserable of Dice,EA, who-ever-the-fck.

This isn't PC land buddy.

The game was a lot of fun when you could play on DICE servers by their official rules. I shouldn't have to search and search just to enjoy a game or two. Not everyone has huge amounts of time to sit through a server list and browse to find the perfect rented server.

Standardization was what made the game fun.

Rented servers are fun for those who want something more than just standard, but to entire eliminate standard play is just bad business.


As for the guy who said come up with an idea where DICE and make profit...ummm that's what the game sales were for and the future DLCs.

yeah I have similar issues with servers, I think the vast majority would prefer a "normal" dice softcore or hardcore server but most people can not be bothered finding them or the servers are not populated at all or enough to justify playing on said server.

all I know is that the majority of people I have spoken to or voiped with have said similar things about the server situation.

allot of people do not want to play on a server with 200% tickets or 1000+ tickets

allot of people do not really want to play on a mixed mode server

allot of people do not want to be forced to not use certain weapons or items or certain playstyles just because the server own insists on it

allot of people do not like getting banned and or kicked, unfairly switched during a round just because some admin abuser says so
