I just bought a new PC back in March and I've been getting really horrible performance and FPS while playing Battlefield for the last 2 weeks. Has anybody else experienced problems like this?
My specs are:
i7 3820 3.8ghz
Gigabyte GA-X79-UD3
AMD 7950
8gbs ram
120GB ADATA S510
Tsumiki-San

Graphic settings?

and AMD GPU drivers are crap!

1. define horrible performance
2. in game settings?
float4 DarthShader(float4 p : COLOR){
return (p * 0.0f);
}

I'm running on high, motion blur off and AA defered off. 1920x1080 and about 60-75 fps. Im also curious if i should turn vertical sync on, and network smoothness should be all the way to the left?

you still didn't define horrible performance.
60-75 fps is in my opinion fully acceptable.
unless you have a monitor with a refresh rate > 60 you won't see those extra FPS.
FPS is also a deceptive way of measuring performance. Adding settings in game that takes x milliseconds per frame at higher FPS will result in a bigger drop in FPS than adding the same settings running at lower FPS. Unless you can actually tell you're stuttering or having other issues I wouldn't worry about it,
float4 DarthShader(float4 p : COLOR){
return (p * 0.0f);
}

blah blah
hit tilde in game and type list
it will show u commands. I forced dx9 and my performance doubled because it was unplayble before..only since the last patch though.
also first force tesselatoin OFF and cat A.I off in your control panel. Also force your fan on about 60% or so.
I also forced fxaa off.
u can also type draw blah blah to draw fps. list in command prompt tells u it all.
Hopefully the next bf3 patch will fix what I lost in performance.
and amd drivers arn't crap whoever posted that
nvidea has just as many problems gfy
