Hold or Toggle zoom?

I'm having trouble aiming while holding down zoom button and idk If I should change it to right click toggle or actually just bind zoom to a keyboard key. Right now when I hold down zoom it puts a bit of pressure on the mouse which then makes it harder for me to glide the bastard on the mousepad, alot of friction. Ontop of that it just makes it harder to be precise because my hand is not so relaxed holding down that right click.

But yeah, I'm wondering how you guys do it, do you have it set to toggle or do you hold it down?

Also is it okay to have high sensitivity in this game? I ask because I've played some oldschool games that just punished high sensitivity players, wondering if this is one of em. Atm I have it at 1800Dpi, Ingame sense at 5 ticks.

I use "hold" instead of toggle, it's much quicker and easier to lower your gun and run for your life that way. I'm terrible so you might not want to take my advice seriously though, lol.

What sort of mouse are you using anyway? Mine has this kind of "hair trigger" thing going on and it hardly takes any pressure to make it click.

I also use hold to aim, and I play on a somewhat low sensitivity ...

I used to have a Deathadder, and that mouse definitely had hair trigger clicks which was great but I replaced it with a Logitech G9X because with palm grip I just wasn't as accurate as I could be as my hands are small, so yeah got a smaller mouse to fix that. But this G9x needs more pressure to click the buttons =/.

But yeah that is the problem, toggle brings that delay to get out of zoom, which is definitely not good, and holding it down decreases accuracy (for me atleast).
Should I bind it to a keyboard key?, wonder how that would turn out.

I wouldn't bind your aim key to the keyboard.. I would keep it bound to the RMB...

I use toggle because it's bound to my X key. I walk forward with RMB, and I can quickly tap X to bring up my scope, but holding it would take away my ability to move backwards at the same time.

Hmm I actually want to try toggle now. I have played a game with zoom set to toggle before. I set it to my E key and I did pretty well. Maybe I should try that with this game.

Also slightly off topic a bit

Question for QCK+ mousepad users. How do you guys aim on that mousepad?, its so sticky, I have one but the friction is insane its so hard to make precise tiny adjustments. Instead of gliding nicely to follow your enemy, you just find your aim skipping all over the place like its getting stuck a bit.

I think perhaps I need a different mousepad that lets me glide easier with no friction?

Cant mate. I hate tried alot of mice and the G9x's shape is the one I'm most comfortable with. I wouldn't use this mouse if it wasn't for that though because the sensor is meh compared to ones on mice I've used before, like the Intelli Mouse/WMO/Deathadder/MX518. Optical/Infrared > Laser. But yeah I have tons of gaming mice just sitting here on my desk. Another mice that was comfortable for me oddly was the R.A.T 7 , but again the sensor just sucks imo (Philips Twin Eye gah) so I gave that to my brother.

I've only heard good things about that mousepad, so its probably your mouse.

I think I'm just not used to heavy Friction mousepad's because I have tried alot of mice on this thing and I just cant work with it. I play better with friction less mousepads like the Destructor, Steelseries 4HD , etc. Problem with hard pads though is they wear out very quickly and that worn out area becomes very sticky =.=.

I need a mouse that levitates/hovers seriously.

Can't stand toggle zoom, i prefer hold just in case i need to get out of a jam :) without worry about click RMB

the 0.01 second that it takes your brain to send a signal to your your finger to click RMB to is not going to save you if you were to hold, because it has to send the same signal to let go of RMB as it does to click.
