I played on that europe server yesterday. well.....they call it a europe server. its east coast USA now, with a europe tag in the server information.
That's messed up, but did all European servers switch?

The battlefield europe servers , previously located in The Netherlands , all got migrated to the USA server park, Probably to reduce costs.

Its very sad that we have been fighting our case for ping in the scoreboard for such a long time and then we find this out today.
At least now we know why our voices were going unanswered.

i bet this is why the aussie servers were crashing before christmas, they would have tested it on us first, shameful behaviour indeed.

I had super lag on 5 bar servers. Everytime. Always.
No rubberbanding, no disconnects. Just the good ol' instant deaths.

Maybe, but even now I join a euro server & get 5 bars, I join an east US server & get 4 bars, But in theory they're the same location = ping meter is fabricated to deceive us Euro players.

Judging by this i might as well just play on all USA servers and lag the hell out of them, because that is what it amounts to

Okay, I gotcha now. Didn't know you could see East servers as 4 bars. I was just thinking of a way they could pull something like that off.

I measured the ping on another server that was supposed be in the US from my PC.
I got an average ping of 72 ms.
That's not good but it's not exactly US, right?

Go to pingtest.net , zoom out, and do a pingtest on the San Fransisco server, California, US. it is on the west-coast.
post the result here okay ? if you get 72 ms ping you will get a cookie.

Ok, I opened CMD, did a ping on the address that you posted and got a 67 ms ping. Not too bad (from Romania, East Europe).
Pingtest.net however, shows a 197 ms ping to a LA based location.
San Francisco shows 207 ms.
