Hello everyone,

Does anyone knows if BF4 gets open server files?

Which means people can rent an dedicated server and run their own servers.

Whitout paying loads of money?

lol @ people having commercial bandwidth and powerful servers just sitting around for Battlefield 4.

This isn't some crappy source game where you create a server on an e-machine at home.

$1 a player slot isn't loads of money either.
Shadowplay, G-Sync, PhysX Flex. Your move, AMD...

Bumping this..

I have 5 E3-1270's here in my home office.
I also have Business class Verizon FiOS running in to my mini server rack.

Currently run a lot of servers for various games just fine.

Real shame I can't host one for any of these games because of 'internet speed'.

I manage a server on a datacenter, and "for some reason" I can't host a BF4 server there.
I didn't buy BF4 for the same reason I got tired of BF3 after a couple of hours of play. The ping makes the game unplayable since the closest servers are being hosted about 1500 to 2000 Km away (no host got the server files in my country).
Although I bought BF3, I'm waiting for some third-party modification to allow me to host local dedicated servers, to start playing BF3 again.

I have a powerful dedicated server sitting around, and I also have a powerful connection.

Also about this: "Real shame I can't host one for any of these games because of 'internet speed'."

Ya... Your speed will most likely host perfectly fine. People greatly over exaggerate how much speed game hosting required let alone the speed game clients use.

Also I would like to add, do you really think it required a gigabit connection for one server. You know nothing!
