BF3 Crashing x64 bit Windows

I dont get errors or any message of any kind, just a hard freeze. System not overheating, formatted, latest drivers.. I need to do a hard restart after the freeze. There arent any solutions for x64 bit OS. the explanations that are there do not help me. if i alt tab, ctrl alt del, alt f4, you name it, it doesnt work. After the restart i dont get an error message. Any suggestions?

If this doesn't happens in SP, CO-OP and MP PunkBuster off servers, your problems is punkbuster.

PunkBuster is causing freezes with looping sound, specially with realtek onboard sound.

I have the same problem with BF3 crashing, except i'm using Win7 32bit , it lets me play for about 2-5 min then BAM crash...have to hit Ctrl+Alt+Del to get to task manager and end BF3, i get this stupid message that says something has caused BF3 to stop responding...yea no shit....anyhow ... yes ...i've installed all the latest drivers, my Win7 install is fresh just installed it yesterday, my computer has no issues with any other game...every else runs just fine. I checked my error logs...i'll paste everything here : aren't we suppose to be posting here to get help from DICE/EA? all I see are people commenting and flaming each other.....so sad....

Hard freezes may indicate something to do with your memory. Check to see whether they are clocked properly.

they are. was one of the first things i checked

BF3 constantly crashes, hardly worth playing for 3 minutes then restarting to get 30 seconds further into game, then another freeze. I have also been getting active x out of memory messages. How do I fix this? Can I turn down the graphics? I had them on Auto, then bumped it up to Ultra, same problem. I have Toshiba Qosmio 7272X for gaming laptop. Should have no problems playing games. Disappointied. Also, how do I play BF3 without an internet connection?

OP i have the SAME problem. 100% Win7 64, hard freeze with a reboot required to get out. Latest everything. System exceeds game requirements. You're not alone.

It's not memory timings problems crappy coding.

Was working two nights ago, now it crashes everytime I try to join a game. Everything else I own works great - just not Battlefield.

i am getting crashes too, its really annoying. My game minimizes and crashes tried with a older driver but doing the same thing, it weird because Beta worked fine..

I have/had the same problem. Then I turned off SLI and dedicated one gpu to physx. Now it chrashes more often but I rarely have to do a hard reboot. So it's still fucked up -.-

happens to me pb servers or not, over 1 week now, high end machine, 40 hours tweaking everything, tens of hours in forums, no DICE...

I've just made a post cos im just fuming and I get the BF3.exe stops working and everything is updated, I've tried everything and nothing works.
I've a decent rig and I just dont know what else to do other than send it back for a refund, its a joke and it should never of been released,
it's just EA going for the money again and sticking 2 fingers up at all who buys. NEver again EA and I think you've just lost all reputation of a fair
amount of the community now.

For 64 bit windows, just update it afterwards and voila
