I am aware it didn't, I'm stating that DICE will get around to it eventually, especially now that the community has a fix for it.
I was asking if the tweak moves the chat box or resizes it, given the response from the scientist back there, I'm going to assume it just moves it.
I know but i was hoping it ll be fixed today. But no...
Ah, ok. Yes it moves , not resized.
And sry my english is not my french
Looking at the screenshot it looks excellent, but wouldn't it cover the ammo counter in HUD? Obviously not a worry for hardcore servers, but for regular matches I assume it would be unusable?
DICE must have known how easy this was to do. why didn't they let the community know???
thanks for this fix edjimm
DICE should let us make the choise to enable/disable that whole chat thing. It is REALLY annoying on servers where the console makes autoposts every 5 seconds. That chatbox takes up half the right corner of a screen
Nice one dude, that's awesome.
This thread needs sticky until Dice fixes it
The above is the normal setting for my res. which is 1920 x 1080
Now I 1st made a back up of my original file....and changed only the GstRender.ScreenSafeAreaHeight 0.950000 to GstRender.ScreenSafeAreaHeight 0.500000
which placed the chat box down to the right bottom of the screen....BUT it moved the Health/ammo and the mini map UP to the middle of the screen..not good.
I then tried the GstRender.ScreenSafeAreaWidth and it moved everything all over the place.....
So if you're gonna mess with those settings..make a BACK UP first or you may be screwed.

it's more a trick, and i use a command/parameter that relocate all the hud things,
Don't know, but i remember the bluetinted box issue on bfbc2 . i think the guy who's in charge is not a programmer. I'm kidding....no, i'm not
