I don't understand the server technical jargon at all, but the second post of the following thread is a big deal:

http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/forum/threadview/2832654489576819897/ [battlelog.battlefield.com]

In that comment, the guy posts a link to the following:

http://www.artificialaiming.net/forum/general-discussions/56017-unerring-punkbuster-season-3-a.html [artificialaiming.net]

And there's a picture floating around the Battlelog forums:

LOTS of people on the Battlelog forums are all-of-a-sudden complaining about PB bans. Almost all of them claim to not be hackers, and their stats check out.

From what I can gather, there are hackers who are banning innocent players to "prove a point" about PunkBuster to EA/DICE.

This is...immoral. And something NEEDS to be done about it, ASAP.

More related threads on the Battlelog forums (first one is serious business):

To all saying "stop playing Operation Metro" - I hate that map and never play it (because it's not a real Battlefield map - get that CoD garbage out of here). I've actually purposely avoided playing since I found out about this, in the hopes that nothing bad happens to my account. Kotaku has now reported on it, and the Reddit link is on the front page of the BF3 subreddit.

DICE is apparently "looking into it."

Report artificialaiming to the FBI or other relevant law enforcement agencies.

I doubt ea/dice would have the guts to attack them.

This is becoming a criminal case if u ask me for my opinion....

Make a complaint to your Better Business Bureau, Fair Trading, or Consumer Rights group.

This stuff is getting serious & can't be ignored any further.

EA is not conducting itself in a professional manner.

Certainly not the standard I expect from a publicly listed corporation.

Yeah, this case needs to be referred to law enforcement worldwide.

ArtificialAiming is now a cyber-criminal organization, by mass disrupting a company's services via such deplorable methods, they may be criminally liable wherever.

Read these threads and realize they don't care. Just relax and find another server to play on, oh yea STOP PLAYING METRO.
That is more unrelated to this post than somebody replying "pineapples". Seriously, did you just read "WARNING: Hackers" and then post your garbage?

Yes, yes, yes.
AA have gone from being a group of no-life, anti-social trolls to cyber criminals.

Hacking into an account of any form (e.g. BF3 account or fraudulently posing as an account, which is what they do when they get the GGC bans) is a crime. But they're also doing much more than that.

I wonder - if SOPA passed, what would happen to these sites?
I wonder if AA have people as powerful as hacker group Anonymous working for them?

The thing is, nobody has (announced that they have) reported AA to federal authorities.

SOPA could be useful against such cyber-criminal organizations if it was well-wriiten but it is counter productive as it sets its definitions too broadly giving the government almost full power to censor any site that they wish to.

I don't rule out AA and any other such hacker groups are related/have links to anonymous and lulzsec. Were they paid to do all this, and who is the real mastermind only time will tell.

Nobody has reported this issue yet, due to it only being recently uncovered and exposed, but I'm willing to bet with my last dollar that it is only a matter of time before we see some real action getting taken before everyone here gets mass-banned into oblivion.

Damn it started again. Retarded assholes that play with hacks, now started molesting game players. This is dumb, shame on you dice/ EA. I will never buy another game from you, an as i said previously. You have ruined the best shooting game for me. And iv been flowing it since 1942 series. Shame on your tech support/security/ developers.

This will explain it:
http://www.artificialaiming.net/forum/general-discussions/56017-unerring-punkbuster-season-3-a.html [artificialaiming.net]

ArtificialAiming are attacking the anti-cheat system GGC Stream (auto kicks players using aimbots reported to their stream or Punkbuster e.g. "Player PLAYER1 was kicked for using gamehack AIMBOT#53724") to put in fake bans of legit users. That is, they've hacked the database and put in a random selection of users, as well as ones they've targeted, so that they can't play on servers with the anti-hack measures of GGC Stream - the largest BF server base in the world as of right now.

Edit: DSRash - Yeah, I've been a Veteran since 1942, too. It's a shame for me to leave the BF series on such a terrible, sour note. A note so poor that was represented by not only the abhorrent community and customer service, but also the marred and deteriorating gameplay.
Oct 27: Day 2 in BF3 - "Hundreds of hackers have been banned!"
Jan 20: Day 110 or so - "This week sees the banning of a significant number of hackers".

Okay, so it took nearly 3 months... for a 'significant'? Significant compared to what? Why no actual numbers? This is rubbish customer service.

I think AA is up to more than just exposing exploits as they claim.
One would be to ban hundreds of legit players so the AA hacker members when get taged/ban for hacks they go to customer service and cry fake ban by AA.com.This is why they(AA) are throwing this exploit all over the net to sow confusion between real ban and fake ban.
I blocked this with adblock plus Why?..I dont give a flying f%$#k what your PC specs are
