I used to use one of those crappy single phoned banded things for voice Voip only, and have the game audio coming out of my T.V.
I recently bought some of these
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/9354795/Trail/searchtext%3EDATEL+HEADSET.htm [argos.co.uk]
Which also work for Ps3.
They were only cheap and only in stereo, but I play much better now I can hear everything.
What do you use?
I've heard the official PS3 ones are cool, but a bit pricey in the U.K.

If you don't want Turtle Beaches like everyone else, Razer has some sweet headphones specifically for PC, and consoles.

I had a set of Tritton AX360s a while back, easily the best headsets i've come across. The AX720 are even better, as for turtle beach headsets i'd give them a miss. You end up with about 50,000 cables dangling everywhere just to hook up the mic and have stereo sound. The AX headsets use an optical link so no messy cabling and the 5.1 aint half bad either.

I have the PS3 ones and the are just as pricey as they are good.
EDIT: they are also very comfortable, and don't hurt your ears even after a long gaming session.
I can't even remember what playing BF3 feels like. Probably frustrating.

Aren't they $99 in the US? They are still nearly that in U.K £'s here! That's why I didn't get 'em.

I have both the TB PX3 and the TB DPX21's. I love em both but the PX3 wins in my book. They sound a LOT better, plus their wireless!

I wouldn't mind wired.
Although mine go for a good 8hrs straight.
Is 5.1 or 7.1 a lot better than stereo?

Thanks. Still, $99 equals about £63, why charge another £14? A holes.
Best I found was £84, but was a couple of months ago.

I'm using the Sony PS3 headset, the quality is good and i think my headset can at least last for 5 more years.
Since i have bluetooth on my computer i have no problem using it with PC.
EDIT: Many of my friends are using the PX 21 turtle beach, they say they are good and i might buy 1 in the future if my Sony headset for some reason dosn't work.
