Yeah don't go to EA help because they'll just say "I'm sorry I don't have access to that information" or answer your question with something completely irrelevant.
Clearly the best player here. #Demize

Guys, could you do me a favour please? Using Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\program files\origin games
type in dxgi.dll into the search box at the top right of the screen (Win 7).
You should find dxgi.dll in the root of origin Games folder. If it is not there, then you just need to get the file and put it there.
If it is there, then there is another problem.
If you need the file let me know and I will upload it to my server and post a download link

This happened to me as well, as long as Origin saying i had the wrong credentials. A restart of my PC fixed it.

Hey Guys I got this problem your all talking about when I reinstalled windows vista 64bit.
The exact path I took was......
Install Service pack 2 ---- >
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17669 [microsoft.com] (This is for vista-64bit)
Run DXsetup in the Origin\Battlefield 3\__Installer\directx\redist\DXsetup.exe
Then Install DX 11 ----->
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4390 [microsoft.com] (64bit) or
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=4390 [microsoft.com] (32bit)
I restarted for the update to finish. And the error was gone.
I am using windows vista 64bit premium.
For windows 7
Update Service Pack
http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/A/F/0AFB5316-3062-494A-AB78-7FB0D4461357/windows6.1-KB976932-X86.exe [download.microsoft.com] (32-bit)
http://download.microsoft.com/download/0/A/F/0AFB5316-3062-494A-AB78-7FB0D4461357/windows6.1-KB976932-X64.exe [download.microsoft.com] (64-bit)
Run DXsetup in the Origin\Battlefield 3\__Installer\directx\redist\DXsetup.exe
Then Get DX 11
http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35&wt.mc_id=mscom_en_us_search_mssuggests_131z4enus22051 [microsoft.com]
Run the web updater and get the latest DX 10 and DX 11 Updates.
Restart computer if setup asks.
You should be ready to play now.
XenixCommander Out.
