BF3 not starting, cannot join any server

Simply, its hanging in the pop-up "joingng server" - origin wont start BF3 and its not in taskmanager.

My friends have the same - so wtf?

Edit: Ok, just restart browser and accept or "ignore" new ssl certificate.

This is fuckin annoying Same issue accepted certif and still fuckin up just paid fuck 80 dollars more so i could use premium and play at the same lvl as everyone else.

My game dosn't start, too. When looking in task manager under: "process" there bf3.exe is listed with a far too small RAM usage. even when starting singleplayer!

Last Origin update gave me the "joingng server" Brick Wall

Me too just got the latest patch. I join a server and all i get is "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server" "Joining server"

My game tries to connect, then once it joins it crashes back to the web browser and says " game disconnected - disconnected from EA"
ive rebooted, restarted browser, logged out logged in. ran all as admin. repaired my battlefield via origins.Still no change. WTF EA???

I've tried all the fixes. I don't understand the notion that this is a problem on our ends. All of us had a perfectly functioning BF3 until the update. Now EA doesn't seem to want to acknowledge, let alone do anything about it. I'd appreciate it if they fixed it because I'm a little upset I can't play anymore. It's been almost 2 weeks of this shit, and now I'm missing out on the double xp bullshit.

if you are playing on the actual ps3 download then once downloaded you have to install..we had same issue here..its a weirdie thing really specific way to do it.we downloaded on console then actually one of us figured out we had to actually press X to install the download.hope you get to play this weekend is extra xp.have fun.see you on the bf.:)

whenever i try to access the premium expansion pack close quarters maps, it doesn't work, but on the normal bf3 and bf3 Karkand it works..... why is this? how do you properly install premium??

6 month with out playing, and when i try to start a game, its saying me to updating bf3,wich is already update, and so on...Anyone got the same issue ?

A year down the track i ---- i use to be xbox player didnt have many problems, join pc and all sorts of problems, including this idiotic join server................ never starts games. but pops up in task manager, so i close the joining server stop the process click join server, and still joining server........ and re starts the process. once in a blue moon the game acctually starts.

at times i clse process and even close origin. click join it boots up origin and restarts the bf3.exe process but still gets stuck on joining server... i use to love bf2 and bf2 special forces but come-on if this is how ea/dice treats there consumers, then after this (puchasing premium bs) i dont want nothing to do with another batlefield related game or so called purchasable idiotic update, untill ea/dice can learn from thesemistakes ( including some very annoying ingame things) and fixes them and proves they have.

Absolute bullshit. Can't launch games more that 9/10. Just hangs and says joining server. Absolute rubbish. And EA/Origin? Next time, get advisors that can actually speak/write/understand English. Stop training them to copy/paste semi-relevant responses to customer complaints. You are dropping the ball.

I have the same issues. When I click on BF3 in origin nothing happens (I have to open origen and then double click the game executable, annoying but that works reasonably well to start battlelog.With the game starting I have a LOT of problems,when I click on a multiplay game it ussually seems starts up but more often then not only uses between 616-640kb.. not nearly enough.

I have to use task manager to kill the process and try again or another server..

WHEN is this going to be fixed.. I am having this issue for months!

this is well fucked... i have BF3.exe in the process list with 900kb in ram - and nothing is happening - double checked all firewall settings n virus just incase - tried that regedit with the TM, didnt even have a tm - fuck this shit - i just bought the fkn premium bullshit expansion pack and shit still doesnt work - aids

Same problem here. Just started a few hours ago tonight. Hangs in task manager with 3,552kbs

EDIT: I fixed my problem by turning off Virtu MVP. GPU Visualization that came with my Z77 Pro3.

anyone know why i cant join any servers? it keeps saying join join join join and nothing just disconects i can play co op sometimes but not multiplayer any ideas? i just got the game dont have expansion packs but i should still be able to play normal maps right?

Same problem. Game manager gets stuck at "Joining Server". Just picked this game up and have spent the last 4 hrs trying every suggestion I can find and still have no playable game. Not impressed here.

Installed the game yesterday and I still haven't been able to join a game yet after trying for hours. Wtf is this shit

bump... same problem here, it was working fine but an origin update was needed and guess what....Joining Server, but not connecting.
I can't even play campaign mode. I've tried uninstalling and reinstaling the game and origin, I tried using the older version of origin given at the start of this forum and still no joy. I've also tried deleting the BF3 folder in my documents. I guess its wait till the next origin update and see if that works. I've paid for premium and feel some what cheated by EA and Dice for their poor performance on this seeing how many people have the same problem. But I guess they have our money now so more the mugs are we!!
