Right, my account has been hacked 8 times in 4 days. I have managed to recover my account every time by contacting EA support chat, but it kept being stolen again.

Tonight, whilst i was unable log in to Origin, i was still on Battlelog and saw a status on my own Battlelog written by the hacker himself: "I have a key. simply boringly =) ..left to sleep. till tomorro..." (quote from mazagaga@yahoo.com)

I contacted EA support once more, went through the whole security identification process. Issue escalated, you should get a call in 5-7 days BUT i can't reset your email address as your account has been hacked. WTF!!!!???

So it seems that some free keys are going round the freeloader community and whilst he can roam free around my profile, download MY games which I paid for and reset my stats, i am not able to access MY account despite proving my identity to EA.

From what i can see, these hackers have somehow obtained a key and are able to change genuine users' registered EA email accounts without any additional security checks on the Bioware (Mythic) website.

Activity on the forums seems to indicate that i am far from being the only victim and after so much time wasted, a complete disregard by EA for users privacy and security, i will contact the specialised IT, Gaming and Security press to tell them about my wonderful EA experience.

Try telling them to reset your email back to your original one. That way only you can get back into it. Ps Stronger password needed next time.

I suggest you reinstall your computer since you obviously have a keylogger on your computer

i've had it reset 7 times already but the EA support employee wouldn't as i'd obviously been hacked and the issue was escalated.

@Boombaby, my PC is completely clean. Bioware managed to lose 18000 account details last year and i'm probably one of them (as is anyone who has ever downloaded a Bioware game and has an EA/Origing account. For me, it was Mass Effect :/

Having your key will not let him access the account, emails will be sent to the registered account holder. you have malware/keylogger/trojan

Almost 100% someone managed to install a keylogger on your pc.

Did you downloaded something recently that did not work the way it supposed to work?
Did you visited some weird site?
Had a virus recently?
If you have paypal and creditcards DO NOT USE IT ON THAT PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, same goes for any other important info.

Avast anti virus is free gents.....

Does not hurt to run an AV in the background.

He always manages to somehow change the registered email account then resets the password.
I've been getting a first email from Bioware telling me my email address had changed, then another telling me that my password was successfully changed
I am not familiar with the Bioware account management process so am unsure how easy/difficult it is to change these details.

I haven't installed anything suspicious recently, or visited weird sites. I have uninstalled superfulous software, deleted apps and email accounts from my phones, updated all security software and even purchased Avast license and blocked router ports. Obviously ran all sorts of anti spyware, malware, viruses,... :/

Do not backup anything, you need to completely wipe the install.

I suggest an anti malware, and AV to clean up remnants of anything on this install first, if you really must need to backup.

Also, Avast has everything you need, and is a free subscription for 1 year.

Ah yes thats the name of that nasty stuff, pretty messed up, i know a dude who has 100's of steam accounts......and even paypal accounts....EVIL PEOPLE!!!!

BTW from what i know, these RATs dont get detected by AV, they are disguised as normal files, such as .avi or mp3 and even jpeg......
Some people who want to play games join socalled private servers, but those servers are infected and upload a RAT to your pc, and the fun begins....
