Why the fuck is my HD not being able to download. It says have 1.5GB harddrive space available and I have 2.1 open. the beta looks better as it is now and when i try to say download it says "The game only permits installing HD content on the Xbox 360 Hard Drive." and gives me option to select another device or cancel. I have a USB stick and the 4 GB hard drive with the xbox slim. I tried both and both have more than 2 GB available. WTFFF

Worked fine for me! Try deleting Harry Potter Super Friends and you might get more room.

Bummer, man. Is it possible to try to free up some more space? I'll tell you why...

I made extra space just in case. I went from like 4 gigs free, to 9.1 gigs. That was in the Dashboard. HOWEVER, when I loaded up my game and picked my disk for the HD Pack, it said my HD actually 8.something. I don't know why, but although the file size is 1.5, you may still need much more than that. I don't know what else to tell you unfortunately...is there any DLC you don't use anymore or Arcade games? As those can be redownloaded at no charge.

Either that or maybe try deleting your cache on your 360 from the memory area of your dashboard? I wish you the best of luck.

I have everything deleted besides my GOW3 data, Madden 12, and essential games i play. If you say is true, and it actually showed up as 8.something, than if I have the xbox 360 slim (4GB console) and another 4 GB USB stick, then i need to buy the 150$ hard drive to just get HD for this game?

The storage in the 4Gb Xbox 360S consoles isn't a hard drive.
BF3 only supports installing the High Def content to HDD's (stated on the back of the box) which is 20Gb minimum on Xbox 360, 120Gb minimum on Xbox 360 Elite and 250Gb minimum on Xbox 360S.

Well, I guess we know whats goin on your Xmas list haha! At least you can still PLAY the game, and it isn't MANDATORY to play it (which apparently some games like I think Halo Reach required it for certain modes after doing some Googling).

I take no responsibility if you break something, but you can use an XBox fat HDD with a slim. Look it up, but be very careful when you try it.

Im pretty sure they're FAT, but they don't run at the speed necessary to stream the textures.

That's nice. How about telling us that BEFORE launch?

They should have at least mentioned it, but your beef is with M$ for not including a HDD with the slim.
