"Connection Time out" survey.

As very many others, ive had alot of time outs, and its driving me MAD!
Looking around on the net, it seemes there is a connection between Windows 7 not functioning properly with the UPnP service. Was wondering, for those that have this problem.

1: What OS do you run?
2: Does disabling uPnP fix it?

Hope as many as possible can answer.

Hey i am experiencing this problem too. Everytime after around 5 mins in a multiplayer map, i get DC-ed and it says Connection to server time- out .

Same problem here. I opened up all the recommended ports on my router and firewall, disabled the uPnP, and prayed. Still having issues.

I have trouble connecting in the first place and when I do the second game always times out about 5 minutes in

Windows 7 64bit with recommended ports open and running Firefox, BF3.exe and origin as an administrator.

Sucks.

hey guys, dito for me, running windows 7, 64bit, i can finnish the first game half way through the second I timeout. I lose the up rank and points etc, driving me nuts not to mention the amount of points I've lost, can someone, anyone help before I go totally nuttttssss.

I'm having the same issue. Windows 7 64bit, AMD. I'm connecting through a wireless router, wondering if everyone else is too?

Same issues here. Windows 64 bit, 7600 processor, 580 graphics card........every second match, it quits out partway through.

Same. W7 64 bit, disabling upnp does not help me.

I time out between matches. EVERY TIME. I get into a game, it's fine. Play till end, then when the timer for teh new game to start hits 0, my screen goes black, and I time out eventually.

windows 7x64.... Timeout quite regularly... Perhaps something to do with incoming battle reports?

Anyone tried diasbling uPnP?

I have the same issue. I can't tell whether it's my connection or the game. At first I thought it was my ISP but if so many people are having this problem then it might be the game.

Win7 64bit here as well. I did not have this issue in beta.

My stats are garbage as a result. I have quit 40% of battles joined through no fault of my own.

Got the latest drivers for my 580 / drivers version: 285.62
uPnP doesn't help at all.

What I'm experiencing:
1) Either I get disconnected in the middle of the game for no reason and I get the "disconnected from server" message.
2) OR I get disconnected after completing one full match, waiting for the new map to load, starting the new game, and after the countdown I get disconnected 30 seconds after that or less.

Haven't noticed anything special about my stats since I'm too piss off to even care about that. I've tried several things but nothing works. What's weird is that during launch day I was able to play for 4 hours straight without anything special, worked just fine. And then the next day everything is BS and I can't play a fu****g game.

Any help is welcomed but right now FU** BF3, I'm gonna go play something else that WORKS!!!!!!!

I cant even get into a match, and I get "conection timed out" or "couldn't connect to server" Disabled UpNp and opened the ports, as well as tried disabling firewall etc. Repaired - updated PB - reinstalled PB. Still same problems.

i can play 1 full round - the next round i get kicked out of the game because "server time out"

i'd probably be 5 ranks higher without that stupid bug :(

Edit: disabling uPnP didn't fix the problem

Just experienced this in my very first MP match. I spawned in a helicopter, parachuted onto an M-COM, armed it, gunned down 2 enemies, then right before the M-COM exploded.... "Your connection to the server has timed out." What the fuck? I'm infuriated.

Didn't have this problem at all in Beta.

Same here takes about 5min "server conection timed out" Was just hoping it was a beta thing.
Hope there a fix soon. If its anything like all the last battlefield game it probably wont :( Come on EA just want one of your games to work out of the box.
