Turn off Language

BF3 is an amazing looking game, and the game play is awesome, however there is an F-bomb dropped every other word in it and no way to disable it that I've seen. It's really annoying. It's unfortunate that the gaming companies have messed up such an awesome game with language. None of the other games in the series had the was like this. I can't even play the game on my speakers, because I do not want my family hearing it. And frankly I don't want to hear it.

Is there a way to disable the cursing?

Thanks

Why is the gratuitous killing of people ok but foul language so offensive? People need to get their priorities straight.

So its ok for your family to hear you killing people though? but not the swears. I'm just trying to get this straight.

Uninstalling/taking the disc out is a permanent solution to you hearing curse words in BF3. I mean, the game is rated M for a reason, and it's all with the rating on the case (as in the "Strong Language") so you knew what you were buying, or didn't read why it was rated M. On top of that, how is killing people on a lower level than cursing? I'd rather my kid curse a lot than to kill a lot. If your family doesn't like cursing, then maybe they should restrict what games you play, or at least understand what comes with an M rated game. Furthermore, if they're against cursing, shouldn't they be even more against killing?

And to be honest, I don't even pay attention to the cursing in the game. What's so bad about it? You feel it's going to seep into your saintly verbiage? I curse a lot in my own home, but I know when NOT to curse, and anyone with common sense should too.

I think people just want a reason to cry. Maybe you can get a refund.

Is it me or is the timing of the foul language in-game wrong?

My character seems to only swear after I've revived a team mate insulting him???!?!? Funny but lol wut?

I too would like to play a game that doesn't involve the foul language and not just foul language but offensive topics. Please give us the option to choose not to have to listen to this while we play.

yeah i am wondering that myself. i find my soldier yelling FRY YOU MOFO!!! when i am defibbing my teammate.

i have heard 2 seperate cursing against enemies while you are shooting or suppressing them and then there are ones for when you get suppressed/hit/grenade lands near you.

Maybe I'm wrong, but I once heard my character say "Fuckers in my ass!" While I was playing multiplayer. Anyone heard something similar?

Oh, and to the OP: Deal with it. It's on the label my friend. I rarely notice it and I guarantee that I swear more over the squad chat than any of the characters in-game.

Good suggestion, Specialist.

The added bonus is that you might learn how to say "we're getting f-ed in the ass over here" in French. I'm sorry, but I really do love the in-game chatter in this game.

European developers like DICE probably hadn't thought that people in the US are completely OK with violence but are so sensitive when it comes to words. I'd imagine the language feature didn't occur to them.

Embrace the profanity. Don't let perfectly good language go to waste.

The op here has his priorities so F'ed up i cant even imagine what else he/she is equally confused about.

So killing people in the game is ok but a few curse words is not? That just makes no sense at all. It is almost as bad as server admins saying you can't curse on their server when the game curses all the time.

The profanity in the game is perfectly acceptable. I'm pretty sure if you were pinned down you're not gonna be either idly sitting there with your mouth shut or yelling out "OH FIDDLESTICKS, THESE INCREDIBLY HOSTILE CHAPS ARE PROJECTING THEIR WEAPONRY IN THE AREA THAT PERTAINS MY BEING"
