New Weapon, ACW-R

The new trailer for the Ziba Tower map for the new expansion is out.. only shows three new weapons. One is a new LMG that It doesn't say the name of. The other is a pistol but it cuts away right as it shows the name of the pistol as a guy kills em with it.

The last appears to be an assault rifle that is clearly readable as the ACW-R, no clue, the model sorta looks like the ACR but I couldnt find any info on the gun by googling it.

Bushmaster/Remington ACR

L86A1 was in the video.

if you pay attention to the video, the class holding the gun was an engineer, so it's probably a carabine version of the adaptive combat rifle

According to someone who has a better version of the video then I do, the CZ75 auto pistol was the pistol in the video, and the L-SCAR and SPAS-12 were in the kill feed.

Abrony, It COULD be a PDW though as well.

Well if they are sticking with the 10 weapons set up they had last time.. more then likely the ACW-R will be engineer. Since it seems they already have two all class weapons with the SPAS-12 and IF ITS TRUE, The CZ75 pistol

I know earlier there was a leak about the pistol being found in files on a EA server or something like that.. also with a sniper rifle that wasnt in the video.. since no sniper rifles appear in the video.. the sniper rifle was CZ 750.

Sort of short range for a sniper rifle, its max effective range is 800M, guess it sticks close to the theme of closer quarters.

AUG, SPAS-12, ACW-R, L86A1 LSW, LSAT, MTAR-21, SCAR-L

AUG: Most likely the AUG A3 seen in BC2

SPAS-12: semi automatic or pump action shotgun that has been discontinued for years and has no place in this game

ACW-R: Most likely the Magpul ACR, since it has an altered name similar to the magpul PDW-R, Guessing that they had similar issues with copyrights would explain the name changes. PDW-R = PDR, ACW-R = ACR

L86A1 LSW= british light support weapon based on the SA80 platform

LSAT= Lighter, more advanced version of the M249 SAW. Firing lighter ammunition, as well as being 8.3lbs lighter than its counter part.

MTAR21= The Carbine little brother of the Israeli Tavor 21 assault rifle

SCAR-L, = interesting addition since the SCAR-H CQC is already in the game, and the military has no plans to use the SCAR-L. But whatever. Anyways its the 5.56 lightweight cousin of the Mk.17 SCAR-H

I'm intrested in how the LSAT will be handled.

One varient uses casless ammo, the other uses polymer casing...

dunno why everyone gets all excited about new guns in a video game. its not like half the reasons the new weapon systems are invented in the first place are even an aspect of the game (ease of cleaning, mod capabilities, weight etc)

all this shit will be the same guns we already have with different models, or theyll just have worse stats like the jackhammer ended up getting.

Belive it or not bossdonut, Some people play FPS games mainly because of the weapons in it.

actually there is a sniper rifle in the beginning with the U.S holo sight on it. It looks like it is black, but it was dark, so it could be the sv98

DICE/EA forums says the ACW-R will be PDW with 26 round clip...as for the rest, officially, no new snipers will be added this expansion.

It's variety, I personally get bored using the same gun day in and day out. I COULD use the AN-94 full time(probably have a much higher SPM) but it's more fun to try to do good with a shotgun on Caspian. Some people like to find a gun that works and stick with it, some of us like some newness now and again.

LSAT is the law school admissions test. It's one of the most brutal exams one can take, and afterward you gotta spend three years having your soul killed in law school. I'm guessing they figured out how to weaponize it in BF3. Doesn't seem to farfetched.

All weapons in battlefield sound more or less the same for some reason, handling wise too, Unlike BF2,
