Hi Guys,

just one Question:
What about a 64 Bit browser plugin. I use firefox 64bit, but for playing bf3 i have to use the ie 32 bit. Would be great to be able to join by 64 Bit browser..

Thanks for reading

Great Job so far.. Best game ever.

Good luck on getting a 64 bit plugin. Since IE9 is the only browser that seems to have an official 64 bit version and last I checked Silverlight doesn't even have a 64 bit version.

Devs are super lazy on this whole 64-bit thing, even tho we have had the desktop 64-bit CPU's since 2003? and probably 99% of the CPU's visiting this site could run 100% 64 bit software.

I was shocked to find out World of Warcraft has a test 64 bit client.. Maybe things are changing now that a massive playerbase like wow might have a native client.

Start working on the compatibility for x64 bit browsers like Nightly or Waterfox,Im sick and tired of having to use chrome just for battlelog.

Its the year 2012 guys wake up.

Browsers don't need to be 64bit.

U should leave it to the percentage of users who want to use a 64 bit browser or not.

What u dont need is something another person maybe needs.

I don't see how anyone can argue against an optional 64-bit plugin. This is a compatability issue, guys; this needs to be resolved.

There are currently no plans to implement a 64-bit plugin. We will revisit this decision when a larger set of players require it.

then it might be time for a poll of sorts because.. how will u collect data when your user base needs to run to IE / Chrome / firefox 32 bit to propperly use battlelog?

the only reason i have chrome installed is just for battle log for all else i use nightly (64bit alfa build of firefox)

yeah a poll to find out who wants a 64 bit plugin or not would be great.

Im using nightly 64 and only use internet explorer 32 bit for battlelog.

Bumping.
What's the status on the 64 bit plugin?
Is it still disapproved?

Ye I'm curious as well.
I've been using Waterfox for a while now but to play BF3 I have to use google chrome.
And despite what ppl say, google chrome leaks tons of memory and ends up crashing more then I can deal with.

Almost nobody really needs a 64bit browser - at least not for running battlelog.

So what's the point in wasting dev resources for something that only a very very very small minority of people might need?

Most new PCs now ship with a 64bit OS.

The main thing holding people back from using 64bit browsers was lack of a compatible Flash plugin. The Flash 11 player plugin now supports 64bit.

Whenever the Firefox dev team release an official 64 bit version, you'll see a big jump in the number of people using 64bit.

I suggest you have a plugin ready to download for when this happens.

Add me to the list too

Btw Opera browser is on process to have a x64 version with the version 12.00, currently still in beta but it will come :)

Thx
