I was reminiscing some of the PC games that I grew up with, and my mind wandered back to the Close Combat games I was so fond of.
I got to thinking more about it.. those games were so tactic and strategy oriented, parhaps more than any other game I played, and I think that maybe they influenced how I play video games today. By that I mean that I'm more of a flanking, defensive posturing, type player. As opposed to run and gun, shoot whatever gets in my way person.
I played mostly strategy games as a kid, and virtually no FPS until I was much older. So I think that affected me.
Anyways, did anybody else play the Close Combat games?
For those who didn't heres a very general overview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WEVoDVVLP9Y [youtube.com]
