by far the dumbest server rule ever.

So i've seen some dumb server rules, but this made me rage. not because something happened to me, but because it happened to my friend and i feel like it is such a shitty thing to do.

so i try to play a few matches with a friend, and we join a server. so im sitting in the spawn screen, waiting for him to show, only for him to message me that he got kicked.

what for? do he join and tear of a huge 10 kill streak really fast? did he shoot an admin who raged? did punkbuster derp? did the admin kick him to make room for clan members? kicked for high ping?


Nope. the asshole admins kicked him because he was UNDER LEVEL 20.

what kind of stupid, asshole behavior is that? if everyone had that attitude, new players would never play. how are people supposed to learn the game? furthermore, why would you act like such a douche to someone who is clearly new to the game. you should be welcoming them, not kicking them.

and for what, so you wont have noobs on the server? rank means nothing. many low ranked players can shred, and 90% of all players over level 20 are still scrubs regardless.

we have servers taht kick you because your stats or rank are too high.

we have servers that kick you if your rank is too low.

pretty soon, the only people who will be able to play are the 300 SPM players between levels 30-40.

Well most people under that level suck extremely hard, so I can see where he is coming from...

Search for the servers: Webhallen :) Good servers, they are swedish so I don't know if they gonna lagg for you or not.

so do most people of any level. there's just as many scrubs with higher levels. besides, the server had tons of scrubs accomplishing nothing for the whole match.

Whilst I am sure he was upset, server admins can decide how they want their server to be used. What they have done is the "reverse" of what many other servers do - and to that end, EA proved the mechanism within the server admin tool to specify what rank limit allowed on the server.

Many players that are just starting out do not want to play on a server full of colonels, so we limit the highest rank. Many good players do not want to play with newcomers.

This is not a stupid server rule - it servers a purpose, and you and your friend should just find another server.

For those that are going to mouth off about ToS. The EA ToS do NOT apply to private servers. The quote below is made by an EA admin.

The point is, whether you think it is a stupid rule or not - EA make provision to do exactly that AND it serves a point.,

As for useless players having high rank - true - but they had to get there in the first place and will be better than a total newcomer.

The bottom line - don't play on that server if you do not like it - stop whinging in the forums

I got you beat. I do not allow people to spam chat with capital letters. EVERY TIME SOMEONE SPAMS MY SERVER WITH CAPS IT GIVES THEM A WARNING. XxXchipotle_sauceXxX this is warning number 2 for using capital letters in chat. I get the WTF or are you effing kidding me all the time. TRY IT EIGHT TIMES AND SEE IF I AM KIDDING. I am sure other servers have more STUPID SERVER RULES, but I usually do not go back IF I DONT LIKE THEIR RULES.

Anyway, server ratings would be great. Then, servers run by terrible admins can reflect exactly that.

What if the admin had his stats wiped and got to rank 0 again? would he auto-kick him self? Hmmm

I once got kicked from a server because I was from a foreign country <3

A lot of "admins" are bads who apply to admin someone else's server because they are looking to abuse people. That's just how it is.

I too got kicked for being a noob once. Or was that for not wearing pants...hmm. :)
