Hello all,

Does anyone know some useful methods to increase FPS/reduce lag?
If I play match like Metro, Tehran Highway, Grand bazaar my FPS is around 20-25, and lots of lag.
I don't really know what to do about it, I have everything running on low, all other programs are closed, latest drivers downloaded,...
I have a NVIDIA GT320, 6GB RAM, win 7 64bit, Intel core i7 CPU 860 @ 2.80 GHz (8 CPUs)
I think I should be able to run this game smoothly on low settings.
So does anyone know how I can reduce my lag? I've tried a lot of things.

Thanks in advance

First

run MSconfig, remove as many start up programs you don't use so they free up memory

your GT320 is very out of date, thats probably why its difficult to play it

6gigs of RAM is fine, you only need 4 anyway.

also, your CPU is fine, but i don't think you can over clock that model, also BF3 doesn't support hyper-threading, so you don't have those 8 cores you're talking about, you have the 4 physical cores. i7's are quad core processors with this magical thing called Hyper-Threading that is able to create 4 more "virtual" cores, but thats only if the program supports such a thing.

in order to increase performance, you're going to have to see if you can overclock your CPU or Graphics card a bit, if you can't on the CPU then the Graphics card is your only option, make sure you compensate the heat with more fan power if its available.

Aside from what he said, you could try GameBooster from IObit. I myself only used it for about a week and couldn't notice a difference in FPS, but from what I understand, it can work wonders on PC's with lower end GPU/CPU's. I guess it can't hurt to try.

Ok what didn't work?

First you really should lower your resolution, that will increase your frames a lot guaranteed, also play in windowed mode

Whats the name of your graphics card? I type GT 320 into Newegg and I can't find anything about it.

Also, to OC your CPU you have to restart your computer and F8 or what ever the key is into your BIOS

all you need to upgrade is your gpu, and maybe psu if that thing is too weak to power a "real" gpu.

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/video_lookup.php?gpu=GeForce+GT+320 [videocardbenchmark.net]

You are way below the minimum specs with that card. The 8800GT is minimum spec and is 940 in the above benchmark. Your card is 667.

You need to buy a new video card and should be fine. Here a some cheap cards that will run the game fine.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130770 [newegg.com] $129
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130664 [newegg.com] $169

Or if you want an AMD

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102908 [newegg.com] $149
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161387 [newegg.com] $119
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161379 [newegg.com] $99

Those are cheap decent cards but if you have a bigger budget then get.
