Using an LMG with a suppresor makes your balls shrink to the size of peas.

Currently using the M240B w/Compensator(Flash Suppressor)/Foregrip(CQC map's)/EOTech Holographic Optics.(this set up is a balance between aggressive and defensive style of gameplay. It is also well suited for CQC action.

Any 7.62 LMG w/ Bipod + Flash Suppressor works for me.

M240B with bipod,if you have to use the foregrip then your not playing support right or your team doesn't have any other support players.

I use every LMG. I'll write my opinions about each one of them. I don't use bipod though, I prefer foregrip.
- RPK-74M - a fine weapon when accuracy is needed. Especially now when it's mag can hold up to 200 rounds :P. Low damage though.
- M249 SAW - the most accurate 100/200 round LMG when firing continuously, has the lowest damage but high accuracy. Great for suppression.
- PKP Pecheneg - strong, great for suppression, low RPM and high recoil but high damage too. Not using it very often anymore. Sprays a lot of course.
- M240 B - my favorite right now. It sprays like hell when firing continuously, but when each shot is fired with full control (by tapping R1 very quickly) it's freaking awesome even when it comes to longer ranges. It takes some practice to get used to it though. Actually every LMG is great when used properly with control.
- M60E4 - a pretty solid LMG. It fares well at all ranges. It's stats are similar to the previous two LMG's.
- M27 IAR - compared to RPK it has higher recoil, but higher damage too. I prefer this over RPK.
- T88 - used it very rarely, precise, low recoil but low damage. Will be using it more often from now on.
- QBB95 - honestly, after the patch, it's not as good as it was before... using it very rarely.
- MG36 - accurate, and decent at all ranges.

I'm in teh M240b appreciation club, think about 6k kills with it, Bipod + Irons/Holos + Extended mag = so win!
I'm not the best. But I come quite close.

Just want to point out that rpk will be losing it's extended mag in the future since it wasn't supposed to get it.

And m27 does the same amount of damage as the rpk, qbb95, mg36, m249 and t88

My top 4/5 would be

M27 IAR good for all occasions, use holo sight and bipod or without bipod
PKP a beast of a gun bipod/holo or RDS
M240B another beast same again
RPK holo extended and bipod/or without
M60E4 again same as PKP and M240B.
but the best thing to do is try them out,

I run exlusively with the M27 IAR holo sight and nothing else, i just find it perfect in Close, medium and long distance combat

If you got a good aim, you should prolly go with the PKP. Highest damage per bullet (34 so 3 hits to kill from close range) along with the M240B, BUT the 240's recoil is just horrible - highest in the whole game of any gun. If you can handle the recoil, go with foregrip and (flash) suppressor and if not bipod with ext mags is the best way to use the gun.

It is always up to you. If belt feed LMGs have too much recoil so you can't handle it, just grab RPK or IAR with bipod and (flash) supp. Foregrip doesn't suit these guns too well. M249 is a good mix of both belt feed power and really light LMG accuracy.
