    Problems: "Game in the back need to be closed", "BF3 not launching", "Stuck at joining"

    Cause: Origin is not updating. Newest version is 8.6.1.39. Version shown 8.6.1.37 or older.

    Solution: Download link for right installer: https://download.dm.origin.com/origin/beta/8.6.1.39/OriginSetup.exe [download.dm.origin.com]

    And what ping you talking bout, in server browser or ingame or??

    I tried to uninstall the origin in order to install it again and try to fix the updating problem but it said "you must quest the following application before you can continue:bf3.exe,bf3.exe".The thing is i dont have them open or anything so.Can someone help me please?

    Did you reboot pc then don't run origin from startup ..dont launch browser!

    Just press install on the downloaded file. Run as admin while do so!

    Problem: Freezes the game and the sound . And 1 have to quit rhe game with taskmanager

    It's all of them, in game , server browers ..it lags so bad theirs no point in playing

    Looks like the check update tab is missing from the "Customize and Control Origin" drop down menu box in 8.6.1.39.

    This fixed the game not launching at all for a friend of mine. He hadn't been able to join us in a few weeks (he'd been away before). Turns out three of us have not received the update for this newest version. Thank you very much.

    Note: For anyone who still doesn't get it, THIS IS NOT A FIX FOR SEEING PING IN BATTLELOG. Eesh.
