Community,

which one of them is the best? What the difference? I tried both and can`t create stable opinion :)

Thanks for your time.

In my humble opinion...both weapons fills a certain role.

M27 IAR, = Mid/Short Support Assault weapon
Flash Suppressor (Haven't unlocked the H-Bar or Xtended mag yet) + Foregrip + Kobra
Great for rushing people and holding a position for a while. The small magazine (I prefer Flash Suppressor) really hinders its suppression potential, but as a quick assault weapon, it shines.

L86A2 (Just unlocked it)
Bipod + everything else stock
From what I noticed in the short time I been using it. The accuracy is the same as the L85A2. Throw a bipod on this guy and you'll have a field day picking off long distance targets.

To sum it up: "I won't vote."

L86A2, more accurate, less recoil.

I love my l86A2

I mostly love AR's and this one comes pretty darn close to it (especially because its the brother of the AR l85A2)

I would argue that the RPK 74 is the most assault rifle like, followed by the L86A2, then the M27 (the least assault rifle like) If i don't want a 100 rounds or more i haven't figured a reason to use anything besides the RPK

I dont use the L86A2 much but the M27 is a really good gun, the high ammo capacity and reload speed makes it efficient, also it is recomended to use muzzle flash to contain the recoil a bit, or use a bipod.

L86 has the fastest rof of all the assault LMG's, so it's the best.

L86 imo, it has a good ROF, very easy to manage recoil and it just feels great.

M27 is still fun though.

L86 facts:

Pros:

-Is a LMG of the assault rifle style categgory ( like RPK, m27 IAR MG/6 QBB 95)
-Has 46 (60 extended) bullets per mag, with relatively hight Rof (fastest of the lmg excluding the 249)), .
-The second fastest reload speed bested only by the 27 IAR. , .
-The lowest recoil, horizontal AND vertical wise compered by the ex-best the m27 IAR. (im talking without bipod)
-Standart Spray, nothing unusual.
-The highest accuracy, ADS ,over all LMG becauseas it can field the heavy barrel***. (more accurate then AR+ grip and HB on single shots even without bipod deployed)
-Substained damage at range because it can field a heavy barrel while keeping controlability on long burst.

Cons

-The first bullet multiplier is much higher the with the m27 IAR, that mean you always have to slighly compensate your bursts. It gives character to the gun and involve the player when firing it.
-*** The HB while giving it a major accuracy and damage dropout range boost, also anahilate the hip accuracy, it literally maxes the Hip value 1.7x multiplier! . (might be a bug or an error)

They both have the same fire rate and the L86A2 is more accurate so it is much better. It can do everything the M27IAR can but it is more accurate as well.

L86A2 is NOT more accurate. They share ADS spread values. The same is true for RoF. Don't listen to people who don't have numbers... In fact they share most of their statistics - here are the differences:

L86A2 has better hipfire (3.0 vs. 3.5)

L86A2 has a better First shot multiplier (2.0 vs. 2.2, calculated values = L86 0.64 vs M27 0.77)

L86A2 has less Vertical recoil (0.32 vs. 0.35)

L86A2 has less Horizontal recoil - 0.15/0.25 vs 0.1/0.3 equates to a lot weaker 'drift' although both pull to the Right.

M27 has much better reload at 1.90 seconds vs 2.80 for the L86

L86A2 is better with the laser. It has a better multiplier (0.5 Hip spread vs. M27's 0.57 Hip spread) and better a better hipfire base value.

M27 gains a bigger Spread improvement from the Suppressor - it has a 0.75 ADS multiplier as opposed to the L86's 0.88. They share the base ADS spread value so M27 is the way to go for a Supp.

L86 is best for a foregrip. L86 foregrip improves both vertical and horizontal recoil - 0.9 for vertical and 0.67 for horiztonal. M27 only improves horizontal for the same amount.

Essentially the L86A2 is better unless you want to use a suppressor or value reload time. The L86 does pretty much everything else better.

Both are good though I started experimenting with the l86 because the m27 has horrible hip fire even with laser. I'll try the l86 with a foregrip though bipoded is really good for taking out those snipers.

My vote goes to the L86A2. I used the M27 a ton pre-patch. It didn't feel the same afterwards and it was my weapon of choice for running and gunning. Switched to the all kit AS VAL for my support gun and now the L86A2 after the CQC map pack came out.

WTF? How foregrip decreases vertical recoil?

I don't like the M27 but in truth I can't put my finger on why. If like me you're a bit shit at this game then persevere with the RPK. Add a flash suppressor and it has easily controllable recoil, the low rof helps as well so on the move it's AR like and negates the need for the foregrip. I can see from the stats why people don't use it as much as the L86 but I love it.
