FN_P90 orH&K_ MP7

If you may recall I made a thread called FN Herstal or Heckler and Koch, and this was the reason, I am approaching lvl 40 soon. And I was wondering if I should use the P90 over my current over all favorite the Heckler and Koch MP7.

I don't really judge guns on their in game performance only. There is alot that goes into me using a gun.

Here's the criteria.

1.In game effectiveness, it's important that I can use it after all.

2.Company I usually lean to Heckler and Koch more =/ because I have the hots for German engineering.

3.Gun lore history, usages and which forces use these guns are important.

4.Gun appeal and sexiness, some of the best guns don't appeal to me because they are ugly and nobody likes an ugly gun

5.Movie and Anime, appearances this is pretty important too, you know you are using that gun THAT Character used it's a big appeal

6.Rarity, bonus points if it's not seen used widely in BF3.

AS VAL all the way, screw everything else. More lethal than anything you can get a close range. Maybe if you don't consider the fast 870 runner.

if its between those 2 ill take P90 cus it can equip laser and suppressor and ammo capacity

Well AS VAL is a great gun, used by spetsnaz so it's got decent lore and back ground definitely a contender. But it lacks rarity points, It's got that russian gun appeal though

btw I think US guns have next to 0 in gun appeal and sexiness. with the exception of the M98B

I can't gauge which one you would like more with those criteria, but I know that both the P90 and MP7 are both awesomesauce in this game.
Go with the one that makes you whip your hair back and forth.

I got 1000 mp7 kills, use it with laser n extended.

best cqc weapon on the game.

I can't stand the P90. It has a 50 round mag, but you need it for the kill. It's fast but weak and highly innaccurate. I personally prefer the MP7, which in my opinion is the best PDW in the game. With a laser sight, extended mags and a Holographic, the crosshairs are tiny and you can hip-fire at maximum range and still hit. The isngle fire mode is pretty useful even for hip firing, whereas the P90 will bring your accuracy down. The MP7 gets 40 round mag with extended attachment, and its fire rate and damage combo are far superior to the FN P90. The P90 isn't good in this game at all. Maybe in CoD4 it was beast but here it's terrible in every way- the look, the performance, the effectiveness of its attachments... Go with the Heckler & Koch it's way better. Just make sure you play as support or have the AMMO specialisation.

At least get your facts straight before you comment dude.
The MP7/P90 have the same damage profile, the same stationary-moving accuracy and even the same hipfire accuracy (even with the laser)
Both guns are terrible at anything over medium range, and medium range is the absolute maximum you want to engage at ... your really only wasting ammo at this distance. It's best to stick just to close range only, where both the guns shine.
And you don't need the full clip to get a kill, I've gotten 4 kills in one clip before (If you really try to make your shots count you could get 5 ... maybe 6, but you'll need headshots).
The MP7 only fires 50rpm faster than the P90 too, that's not "far superior".

And the P90 is actually one of the 3 PDW's in this game that aren't outclassed by it's counterpart PDW's, the other 2 are the MP7 and the PP2000.

I love both these guns. The choice really is horses for courses as you need to do without a suppressor for the MP7 for it to be really useful. If I'm flanking then it's the P90 all the way but if I'm being more confrontational then I'll use the MP7 for its slightly lower T2K. Most important thing with both is to get out of the habit of ADS. There is virtually no hip-fire penalty and that extra fraction of a second is time that you can put half a mag into your foe.

+1, but the ADS isn't that bad. The MP7 has more horizontal recoil, so I can totally understand why people only hipfire with it.
The P90 is a little easier to deal with.
As a general rule of thumb, when I'm using the P90:
Inside of 12-15m, I'll hipfire. Outside of that, I'll ADS. Past maybe ... 25-30m, I wont even bother - just find a way to get closer.

But MP7 has a more compact/cute and cuddly look than the P90. It also wins for me as far as rarity goes. More people use P90 than MP7.

Nope not really, but to use a kit that you've seen people in movies etc use is cool. Hey I mean I used to roleplay SAS with UMP45 and M9 pistol + Support kit with C4.

Nothing says you can't have fun while playing the game.

P90 is ugly and weak,but the mp7 is too.It kills faster and has less recoil though.

Same here, 1000 mp7 kills, laser sight, extended. The extended mag is so big you can take down 3-5 people easily.

The crosshair is ubersmall when hipfiring with laser and you have 950 RPM. Imo, best CQ weapon. Hell, I even hipfire with it at long ranges lol.
