I fixed my issue. It was simply a problem with origin sync. This is how I did it:

1. Disable Cloud Storage in Origin "settings"
2. Then go to Start -> Documents. Delete the file "Battlefield 3".
3. Run the game.

Hope it worked for you guys!

hi guys,

i had the same problem and contacted EA. first i had to reinstal BF3, then i must disable cloud and delete in documents battlefield 3 (settings and screenshots)
bu this didn't work for me. then i deleted origin and BF3 (everything) and reinstal origin and BF3......

didn't work....

know i found something that DID work....let me explain..

i must restart in CLEAN BOOT

go to START>>>>programs and files and type msconfig >>>>enter
click sevices
select hide all microsoft services
then click disable everything
then left of the button services click button restart
click disable everything
click apply and then ok
restart your PC

after restart go again to msconfig
go to general
select normal restart and click OK
restart your pc

now open BF3
go to options and select low settings and use a lower resolution.

this worked for me
now i am trying to adjust settings to medium and slowly increase the resolution
but in low settings it worked perfect

sorry for my english but i had to translate every thing from dutch so i hope you can understand everything

good luke

I've been getting "Battlefield 3 has stopped working" only recently, but I read in another forum a solution that worked for me.

Click start and type cmd, then open cmd.exe. When the DOS prompt shows up, type this: /set increaseuserva 2500 and press enter. It should show a message saying that the command was successful.

Hi there:

For those of you who are experiencing the ‘Battlefield 3? has stopped working error ever since the last patch came out or even in general, here’s the fix, its only one command in the windows cmd, BUT THIS only works for 32 BIT SYSTEMS.

Windows 7/Windows Vista
In Windows 7/Vista go to Start menu. Go to Accessories. Locate the command prompt shortcut and hover mouse over it. Right Click on the shortcut then select Run as Administrator. In the command prompt type this exactly:
bcdedit /set increaseuserva 2500
Then hit enter.
Make sure you get a message back confirming the change was made. To verify the entry is there you can type just bcdedit, hit enter, and you should see the entry now listed.
Then close the command prompt. You just told Vista to increase user virtual address (userva) space to 2500MB.
Changes take effect on reboot.
Now reboot the PC because Windows needs to set the userva at 2500 which only happens after startup.
If you skip any step it will not work. When you have rebooted you should be good to go. Run the game as normal with the original game shortcut.

TO UNDO THE CHANGES:

Open command prompt as administrator and type: bcdedit /deletevalue increaseuserva. That deletes the entry.
Reboot and you are back to normal.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________-

This fixed the problem for me.
