Stinger Glitch on Rock and a hard place

Our team is aware of an issue in Battlefield 3 that has arisen since the release of Multiplayer Update 5 that is limiting players' progression in the single-player Campaign in the mission, "A Rock and a Hard Place;" specifically, these players are unable to find the Stinger Missile required to continue the mission.

If you cannot find the Stinger Missile in "A Rock and a Hard Place" since installing Multiplayer Update 5, follow the below workaround to continue your campaign progression.

For Xbox 360:
Navigate into your Hard Drive and delete Multiplayer Update 5.
Once deleted, launch Battlefield 3 and continue your single-player campaign. The Stinger Missile should now be there, and you should be able to continue as normal.
Once you have completed "A Rock and a Hard Place," you can then reinstall Multiplayer Update 5 without risk of impediment.

For PlayStation 3:
***NOTE: This workaround will require you to replay the "A Rock and a Hard Place" mission from the beginning.
Navigate to your connection settings and disconnect your console from the internet entirely.
Proceed to your Game Data Utility and delete the Battlefield 3 Game Data.
Restart your console.
Launch Battlefield 3 and choose to update from the disc. Once completed, launch the Campaign, select "Replay Missions," and select "A Rock and a Hard Place." This will cause you to restart the "A Rock and a Hard Place" mission.
Once you've completed the mission and ensure your progress has been saved, you can reconnect to the internet and reinstall your game updates.


Please know we are working with DICE to resolve this as soon as possible, but this workaround should allow you to proceed.
