Yes of course, the steps I am taking are:

Double click on my BF3 icon,
Opens Origin
Does Cloud sync
I choose my servers preferences, save and refresh
It comes up with the white box saying joining server, it says Download and install the latest Browser Plugin to play the game.

So i click open game manager, everything is up to date.

Hey what browser are you using? Battlelog doesnt seem to work very well with some browsers.
I think battlelog works best with google chrome. Also, try to delete all browser cache ect ect.
You could even try to repair the install. Go to origin --> right click battlefield 3 and click repair install.

The only browser that follows real W3C standards is Chrome. So you should use chrome.
Probably scratching my balls right now.

I have the same problem, as did the Tech that was helping me fix it. It seems that the last browser plugin doesn't work with Internet Explorer. He told me to download and install Firefox. It works on Firefox but I fail to see the need for two browsers and I like IE. I doubt that DICE cares enough to fix the problem, but we'll see.

Don't use Firefox, it's for kids.

Firefox = 12 year old teenagers that just found out that internet is not represented by Internet explorer
Chrome = Fully enlightened grown up men/women with real interest in the future of development.
Probably scratching my balls right now.

Jeeez... lighten up Ironhuge. FireFox is working just fine

- Maybe you are the 12 year old teenager? By the way - are you a teenager, when you are only 12?

I'm sure Chrome is working good as well, but try to keep your generalizations to yourself!

Really? Used IE9 for a year and now I have to use a new browser? Don't s/w engineers get paid to make these things run on standard software platforms?

Exactly - hard to understand, that one of the most used browers IE is not supported. Hopefully DICE is making it work while
we use other browsers...

I have not played bf3 for a year now, updated everything but I get the stupid "joining Server" box with the following text "Download and install the latest Browser Plugin to play the game"

1. No information of what "latest browser plugin" is, like name so I can search for it.
2. Find references to Shockwave Director... I have Shockwave plugin installed and running but no Plugin called Shockwave Director and can't find it.
3. The button "Open Game Manager" is of no help at all, what should it do?

Have done all cc cleaning, repairs and whatever I could find i the forums and elsewhere to no avail.
Have tried Chrome and IE also.
Chrome sux when it comes to multiple tabs... screens start to flicker like mad, Firefox works fine with multiple tabs.
IAnd what makes chrome a BF3 browser of choice... IMHO, no browser should have any such 'privilege'.
I hope devs dont implement stuff in one browser cuz they fell this is cool without checking that the cool applies to all the other principal browsers as well.
Saying that BF3 only works with Chrome properly indicates that something has been skipped in the development process.

I'm not in the mood for EA hassle and tassle games so if I dont find a solution I'll just uninstall it alltogether.

Ps. What happened to "1. Install Game, 2. Play and enjoy" ??
Ps. Mars missions are in the pipeline but starting Bf3 seems to challenge the launch of a rocket to the planet Mars in complexity.
