Nope, it's a overclocking cpu i'd say.
It's expensive, generates alot of heat. Uses alot of power.

Just get a i5 or i7. Or a FX 8350.

Toms hardware has some good threads about it. For the people saying it runs hot that is prolly because most of the people don't actually do the research to know the 9590 is a CPU that you MUST run with water cooling. If run properly it runs actually cooler then my old 965 at 50c my 965 at idle sits on about 57c at the moment. It is also a HOG on wattage you need a 1200W PSU it needs 220 watts which is kinda insane right now for a CPU but it is the first native 5ghz CPU.

Here is a link to some benchmarks vs the i7 3770k and 3960x http://cdn3.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/fx-9590-performance.png [cdn3.wccftech.com]

And for future reference this is prolly not the best place to ask for technical advice. And I don't mean ask in the tech support area I mean ask on a forum board like toms hardware or such most of the people who cruise these forums are nothing but trolls and fan boys.

edit: this thread is way old. It's better to start a new topic.

The ridiculous starting price for the 9370s and 9590s actually made me want to throw up. I would say go for it now once the price of these CPU are reasonable.

For a 7870? FX 6300, FX 8320 or 8350.

Therefore a little ingenuity and a simple jig made from a coathanger and you can make toast off one.

Already done it pal , once cooked on ultra it stays at 60c . blows cold air out too
