I'm beginning to think that this white screen and loading screen is caused by catalyst 13.10 beta 2 driver i have installed. I'm gonna downgrade to stable now and report back. Also getting the same problem with bf3 btw.

EDIT: nope. not working for two shits.. atleast call of duty does not have game breaking shit bugs like this DICE!

I tried everything
Update punk-buster and added game manually
Tried 3 different Nvidia drivers
Update sound card drivers
Update windows
Tried trick that antoyno said

this one >>>>
1 Exit / End Task for BF4 and Close Origin
2 Open Windows Explorer to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4 Beta\__Installer\directx\redist
3 If you don't have an Origin Games folder, try looking for the Battlefield 4 Beta folder under C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin, worst case, do a search on your C:\ drive for "Battlefield 4"
4 Create a new folder called "files"
5 Cut and Paste all files except DSETUP.dll, dsetup32.dll, dxdllreg_x86.cab and DXSETUP.exe into the newly created "files" folder (i.e: this redist directory will only have the 4 files mentioned above, everything else will now be in redist\files)
6 Right click on Origin shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator"
7 Right click on BF4 beta in your games list and choose "repair install"
8 Once repair is complete, launch the game and it should run fine.
9 Enjoy"

Nothing helped
It stars to load and after several seconds screen freezes and sound loops
CPU goes to 100%

here is the screen

I have Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.0
Motherboard Asus P5E3
4GB ram in dual channel
Asus 250GTS 1GB ram

Maybe it just does not run on Core 2 Duo ? =(

@kaviska i have have a 2600k and it's not working for me either, so that can't be the problem.

The game finally worked after I switched to my Intel HD graphics card. It works at 20+

Im suprised that worked on intel hd and on radeon with the latest catalyst 13.10 we cannot run it and is ""optimized'" for amd. LOL

**FIXED** (for me) following the same instruction that fixed the BF3 Punkbuster related ''stopped responding'' crash. All credit to libever

1. Navigate to your Battlefield Folder(for example: C:\Origin Games\Battlefield 4)

2. Start the "pbsvc.exe"as administrator

If the "pbsvc.exe" doesn't exist, download it here: http://www.evenbalance.com/downloads/pbsvc/pbsvc.exe [evenbalance.com]

3. Start "Un-Install/Remove Punkbuster Service"

4. Delete all files inside "C:\Origin Games\Battlefield 4\pb"(Not the folder itself, though!)

5. Download Punkbuster from http://evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php [evenbalance.com]

6. Save the Setup in any folder on your computer

7. Start the Setup as administrator

8. Click "Add Game"

9. Choose "Battlefield 4" as game and make sure that the game path is your Battlefield 4 folder.

10. Click "Check for Updates"

If an update is available for Battlefield 4 PB, Punkbuster will start downloading it now.

11. Repeat step 1 and 2

12. Start "Install/Re-Install Punkbuster Service"

Punkbuster should be up-to-date right now and a restart is recommended.

or with windows 7 x64 platform PCs?

Cause i think that one of this 2 are the reasons

I have friends across all three platforms experiencing this problem, while at the same time I have other friends across all the platforms playing the beta at the same time. Just something to think about....

Another Core 2 Duo Error

I have also applied the punkbuster fix but no joy.
Game hangs at startup with white screen or initial loading splash screen.
Never loads far enough to create anything in the documents\BF4 directory except the screenshots directory.

I know this is an older system but it is within minimum requirements.
Although I plan on upgrading soon, I wanted to make sure BF4 would fun on my current system before buying.
Hopefully someone will find a fix or a patch will be released before the beta expires.
