Platoon Presentation
{GOL} is a mature tactical orientated clan, which has been playing Operation Flashpoint since 2003. We have since moved on and now we focus on Armed Assault. We are a mainly U.K. clan but have members from all over Europe and elsewhere.
GOL has been constantly improving itself over the years and when Armed Assault came around in 2006 the clan was far different from its original OFP days. GOL fell in love with the superb mod for Armed Assault, Advanced Combat Environment. This increased the realism of the game ten fold while making the game much more challenging.
In the summer of 2009 BIS launched their third instalment of the game called ArmaII. The game has brought new challenges to the clan with a huge surge of new recruits and members. Therefore we have had to change the way to operate the clan in and out of game. The clan is now of well oiled machine with excellent administration and great leadership in game. Throughout the years our size, skill and commitment to the community has made the clan a respected group within the community and we will work to ensure it stays that way for many years to come.
We mainly play Co-op games with many missions created by our own mission team. We also like to have fun and play Warfare, TDM, DM etc.
Well, we have structure in the way we are organized, led and how we play. Rambo?s are not to be seen here. Realistic fireteam and squad loadouts, formations and movements have been incorporated from the military and customized to suit our clans needs.
Our Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.P.) have also been taken from the military and customized and every member is trained in these. Training is given to new recruits during their two week recruitment period. Recruits must complete a "Basic infantryman course" and an "Advanced infatryman course". This will teach everything a new recuit needs to know to be a good fireteam and clan member. Further training is also given upon acceptance into the clan including, but not limited to, "Squad Leader training", "Fireteam Leader training", "Radio Operator training" and "Air Corps Pilot training".
We have a fairly large player base and so we need structure and organization which increases our tactical flexibly as a fighting unit. During an operation the Army is organized into a Platoon with three squads each with two fireteams. The Platoon leader leads the platoon and uses his Radio Operator for getting support outside the platoon.

Well first you need to make sure you have the following things:

? Authentic version of Battlefield 3
? Team Speak and Microphone.
? You are able to Attend 7pm Sunday Trainings.

You don't always need all these :) you can join the platoon anyway
MOST OF US HERE AT -{GOL}- HAVE SERVED REAL WARS AND BEEN IN THE ARMY, THE MORE PEOPLE THAT HAVE SERVED OR KNOW LOADS ABOUT ARMYS WILL BE 90% ACCEPTED TO THE CLAN.
5-8 of us are still in the army today. so most are members don't have time to come on play with us though we have 40+ members and counting we always looking for more.
