♛ GOLD PLATOON ♛

GOLD platoon is Invite Only and strictly for exceptional players who have reached the highest rank in BF3: Colonel Service Star 100 (Golden Eagle).

Members of GOLD platoon include former World #1 Assault, former World #1 Engineer, World #1 Recon, World #1 and World #2 Support, former World #1 Knifer, World #1 MBT driver, ace chopper and jet pilots, a C4 specialist, knife experts and more.

GOLD platoon was the first and only BF3 platoon in the world with all four World #1 players from each class!

♛ WHY THE NAME GOLD ♛

Besides the obvious golden eagle reference it's also because we always go for gold (we want to win), our hearts are made of gold (we play by the rules, cheaters* will be kicked), because not all that glitters is gold (some wins are better than others), because we're good as gold (we are? ha!), and lastly because gold is bright, yellow, hard and cold (just like our bullets).

♛ HOW CAN I JOIN GOLD ♛

Not asking to join is one, standing out from the rest on the battlefield is another, having an extraordinary skill is a third. However the intention is to keep GOLD an exclusive and relatively small platoon so don't be disappointed if you're not invited because invitations to join GOLD are rare!

December 3, 2012: additional requirements effective immediately for all NEW GOLD members:
1. next to the golden Colonel 100 dog tag members also need to have a golden Service Star 100 dog tag for one of the four classes or vehicles (Assault, Engineer, Recon, Support, MBT, Heli, Jet, AA, Tank Destroyer, etc.)
2. and need to be on TeamSpeak sometimes where we communicate with each other in English.

The requirements needed to be updated to better reflect a player's dedication to the game and the type of player we are looking for in GOLD platoon because just being a Colonel 100 is nothing special anymore.

*: WE DO NOT ACCEPT CHEATERS, GLITCHERS, HACKERS AND MACRO USERS!
