I don't think any in-depth analyses have been done yet. It's probably about high settings on 900p at the very most. I'd be interested in seeing what GPU is required for similar results, especially with Mantle.

This. Ultra settings on a 780 though and the difference is quite noticeable.

So a non-constructive post will result in a temporary suspension?

Wow. These are forums you know, forums are for discussion.

Didn't you see the post? He didn't even try to answer the question, he insulted the OP and accused him of being a PC elitist, it was ridiciulous.

No that was deserving of being deleted, and anything like racism etc should be banned for sure, but not just someone going off topic or trying to be funny without being vulgar. I've seen some VERY questionable suspensions here so far.

The purpose of these forums is to encourage constructive discussion and feedback over the Battlefield games, as well as identify issues players are experiencing so we can get that information to DICE for resolution.

Posts that are designed to flame, troll, or otherwise disrupt the forums (which I simply sum up as non-constructive, because that's what they are) do nothing to further this cause.

If you see anything you consider questionable, I'd recommend you check out those guidelines, as well as our Terms of Service. Everybody agrees to our Terms of Service when they create their account, so it seems a reasonable expectation to maintain those guidelines.

Let's get this topic back on track, please.

PS4 graphics are vsynced at 60 fps and are equivalent to high settings and 900p (upscaled to 1080p) on PC. You can get about the same performance on PC with a Geforce 560 ti and an i5 processor - the whole rig costs about $800. So the PS4 has a better price to performance ratio, but at the cost of the ability to upgrade your hardware.

BF4 looks much better on PC provided you have the hardware to run it at 1400p and highest settings, but then you're getting into the realm of $1500+ builds.

The PS4 graphics won't disappoint you unless you're obsessive about having the best fidelity possible.

From what I've seen on Youtube, it's very close. Yeah, it won't have the finer details on the PC, but for a console game it looks outstanding. How it runs in a 64 player setting remains to be seen.

I'm not going to switch from PC (well, not until some friends get it on there and then it'd only be casual play), but it's nice that you guys can get the full Battlefield experience now.

Is it possible to build a $400 budget gaming rig that runs Battlefield 4 at 1080p 60 fps at medium-high settings?

Graphics are exponentially better than PS3, especially on a good tv. Better than my high-dollar PC when I played BF2142.

No.
I'm saying a 560ti and an i5 is not an 800$ pc
That would mean i got an extremely good deal on the 7970 and i5 computer. Because it only cost 836$.

I own a PC capable of running BF4 on full-ultra doing over 60fps, and I was able to visit a buddy who picked ups his PS4 Battlefield bundle last night. A PC running in ultra is noticeably better than the PS4 version when you stop to look at the details, but when the action starts they both look pretty comparable.

It looks great on both systems.
