BF4 Keeps Crashing All Of A Sudden, No Idea Why

My system specs:

OS - Windows 7 64 Bit
CPU - 3.3Ghz Intel Core i5 2500K
Video Card - 1.25gb Nvidia GeForce GTX 570
Ram - 8gb
Power Supply - Thermaltake Toughpower 750w

I play on all Medium settings.

I've been playing the Campaign for a while now with no issues at all. I'm now on Tashgar (6th Mission) and all of a sudden whilst playing the game crashed to desktop. I tried reloading the game and now whenever it loads up, it has that opening cutscene for the mission I'm on and halfway through the cutscene it just freezes and crashes to desktop after a few seconds. I've tried reloading around 5 times now and still it keeps crashing at the same exact part in the cutscene. It says "BF4 Has Stopped Working" in the little box that pops up when I crash.

I've absolutely no idea why it's doing this and what I can do to prevent it from happening. It's frustrating because I know my PC may be outdated in comparison to a lot of PCs out there, but surely it can't be an issue with my PC because it's been running fine up until now.

Do you guys have any idea at all what I could do to fix this?

I'd appreciate any help I can get with this, as I haven't even tried Multiplayer yet, as I wanted to get the Campaign out of the way first, so it'd be a massive shame if I had to uninstall the game because of this crap. I've never really been a CoD fan, and was surprised after reading all the threads on these forums about how BF4 is crap and doesn't run properly etc etc, but now that I'm experiencing the issues aswell, it makes me just want to uninstall the game and go buy CoD. I don't want to if possible, as I've always loved BF, but if this keeps happening I'm not gonna have a choice.

Thanks in advance.

You know, haunted house would be a better explanation to this problem. Would stop me worrying that my PC is the problem.

i wasn't crashing much, but when i first got the game it was unplayable because it wouldn't run more than 5 frames a second.

if you dont have it download GeForce Experience. it fixed my problem

What is your CPU usage when you crash? Since yesterday's patch mine is always at 100 when running the game.

No idea what my CPU usage is, but I've read a few threads saying that the game is highly unoptimized on Windows 7, which I'm currently using. I have a PC store right near me that sells Windows 8.1 for quite cheap. I'm tempted to go there in the next 5 minutes and just buy it if it's gonna help to fix this problem, I really don't mind.

What do you guys suggest, would it be worth buying Windows 8.1? It's not a question of money, I just want to get this damn thing working :(

And CapNKirkland, I do have GeForce experience, although I'm not using the optimal settings it suggests, as it's telling me to set some graphics settings to Low, and some on Ultra. I'd rather just take the middle ground and run it all on Medium to be honest.

Upgrading to 8.1 does give you smooth gameplay, but the crashes are still there.

This issue seems to have been fixed for me by uninstalling the game, deleting the Battlefield 4 folder in Users/Documents folder, restarting, then downloading/installing the game again. I was getting "bf4.exe stopped working" all the time until I did this.

How can I "prove it"? I'm just saying what I read. Go take it up with the people who said it in the first place.
