DirectX Error only when Overclocking GPU?!

First my specs:

i7 4770k @ Stock
16GB DDR Ram
EVGA Geforce GTX 780 Classified
ASUS Maximus Formula
Game on SSD
Win 8.1 on SSD
All new Drivers

With the newest Patch BF 4 runs stable (All Ultra, 4x HBAO, 110% Resolution) @ 80 - 100 fps.

BUT as I start to push my graphics card (+100 GPUClock, +500 Mem.Clock, 106% Powertarget, 81° C Temp.Target, +0,15 mV Overvoltage) I get this DirectX Error as I experienced in the past. It cannot be an issue of the graphicscard because everything else runs fine and stable. Unigine Valley Benchmark runs at top level, and so on. GPU Temp is @ 78° C stable. Fanspeed @ 60 - 70 %. FPS in BF 4 @ 120fps. But as I said, after a while of deluxe playing (5 - 10 minutes) I get a freeze and BF 4 shows DirectX Error.

What do you think about this issue...

I never oc the memory on GPUs causes too many issues in my experience . If youre lucky great but Id say just oc the core.

I thought about a game issue in which maybe the graphicsengine does not harmonize with graphicsdrivers when the graphicscard runs outside the normal clockspeed... some kind of timingerrors.

EDIT

Tried only to overclock GPU Clock... No DirectX Error but still freezes...

Put all back to default and everything runs fine.

I am glad to be able to play... but I want to push up my resolutionscale... therefore overclocking should increase FPS

Back down the clocks abit until its stable on bf4 ?

Definatly crashing because you are going overboard with the overclock , and if its crashing its obviously not stable regardless of if the benchmark completed , that does not mean the card is 100% stable .

I remember clearing unigine benchmark at a specific clock but in game it would crash , same problem you have .. don't rely on benchmarks to stablilise your gpu , use an actual game .

Ya I can't play this game w/ oc'ed GPU's either. Even though it's obviously not temp related. It's Frostbite.

I have to run MSI afterburner and run my sli w/ a custom speed configuration, just for bf3 and bf4. (and I'm assuming other upcoming frostbite releases)

I think Dice are lazy and incompetent developers. This issue has plagued PC users since BF3.

It has to do with graphics card becoming unresponsive. BF3 and BF4 are quite hardware intensive which sometimes with bad drivers can cause the graphics card to become unresponsive. Hence why the Error Code says Device Hung. Meaning it froze/became unresponsive.

You guys are obviously taking the clocks past its stable limit and its crashing ..

There is no other explanation , take the clocks back in small incremements until it doesn't crash .

4Mhz is not going to make or break the performance of your card , stop being silly boys .
