See here and now stop with the thread's, its been delayed because of how bad Dice have released the game and had to patch it. It's not AMD's fault they had a time frame Dice and EA messed it up.

Is it right that the "mantle" thing gives you a performance boost of 20% (!) at FPS???

They is no word on how good the Performance will be. It's how much they can get out of the Hardware, Mantle is direct to the Metal so the possibility is endless, they is no loop holes devs will go through like DirectX, Mantle will give RAW performance.

Watch this to learn more, skip to 26mins for game demo. All that was running on a AMD CPU at 2ghz and R280 GPU

Lets look at that Demo
Running on a AMD 8350 @2ghz and R290

The hole Engine was running at 200fps
Even with the CPU Downclocked the Was still GPU bound, watch at the end where they talk about the slides very interesting stuff.
Mantle will give Devs more CPU tasks while the GPU can do most of the Work.

You might be saying well my i7 dont bottleneck, well go and stand on top a building over looking mass chunk of the map and notice your frame rate drop thats the CPU at fault not able to feed the GPU fast enough.

Mantle also handles GPU Vram different, now I have 2x 7950 3GB Vram each but I can only use 3GBvram, on a Mantle game I will be able to use 6GBVram
This a big thing more Vram higher Textures better looking games.

The more CPU cores the better the Performance will be, this not the case with DirectX. DirectX is more Core speed then overall its one reason Intel CPU's do better on DirectX games.
Put a AMD CPU onto a Mantle game and the tides and turned.

Again this is all GREAT for the Gamer, we all need Mantle Both AMD AND NVIDIA users

Lol you have no clue what you are talking about. Their game engine was re-written to improve its performance. It wasn't all due to Mantle.

Mantle is possibly the most over hyped thing in history related to GPUs.

the demo itself was, and was not running at 200fps.

the application was performing at 200fps but the gpu was managing to render a smooth 20fps at 80k+ draw calls which is phenomenal with no gpu optimisation on a prototype game engine with very early mantle code with everything that was occurring on screen.

basically mantle has an asymmetric rendering system where the cpu preparation and gpu rendering are separate and the application can throw batches as fast as it can at the gpu and it is up to the gpu to render the newest batches as fast as it can. this is stated when they say that if they had an infinitely fast gpu, the virtual framerate would be the actual framerate.

compare this to directx where the application performance mirrors directx performance, with directx they got very high cpu usage at 10k+ draw calls and at 15K+ in directx mode it turns into a powerpoint presentation.

No see the bigger Picture and Accept we all need MANTLE

They is a Reason game Devs get more out the hardware on a console. Take Uncharted for example its the coding right to the Metal that gives them this flexibility.
Add all this onto the PC and we could all be playing great games.

Yes and NO

Yes if Nvidia accept it and work with it
No if they choose to ignore it.

The ball is with them.
