I set my graphic (AMD) options to PERFORMANCE or USE APPLICATION SETTINGS computer to BEST PERFORMANCE and graphic options in BF4 to AUTO I can play sessions about 4-5 hours without game freeze.
All my drivers are fully updated.
Check it maybe it ll help you too.

One thing did you guys also have sound problems ? Everything is OK and for 10-15 sec I don't hear nothing except me and my gunshots. How to solve that problem.

Happening way too often. On a game day of 2-3 hours, it crashes 5-8 times. Sound loops.. Force closes... Sudden terminate...

Totally unacceptable.

But I didn't actually expect more from DICE, considering my previous experiences with their games. DICE their games are in beta state on release usually.

I do hope they fix it. And the countless of other bugs plaging this game.

Not sure if it will help everyone, but touch wood it has so far (6 hours game play) cured me in Win 7:

DWM.eve - end task (Desktop Windows Manager - do this twice as it trys to start again)
Also close Nvdida GForce Experience

Fingers crossed it has solved this for me all night when it used to be every other round. If it works for you, then great. If it doesn't, then lets hope DICE pull their fingers out.

The Realtek 2.72 drivers DO NOT fix the sound loop crash, There are however newer 2.73 realtek drivers released on the 11th that i have not tried yet.

Just tried 2.73 and still got sound loop crash on shanghai within 30 seconds.

Aside from audio/video drive updates, those "homemade" solutions never work. Maybe things like "hit ctr-alt-del and close this" "install c++ or whatever it's called", might be worth something for (really) old games, but we're talking about a brand new one. This is something they should have fixed on beta, unacceptable. Was BF3 this fucked up when it was released?

This is absolutely unacceptable, the frustration of the game crash every 5-15 min is one thing another is EAs horrible system for "upgrading/leveling up" how it does not save progress as the game is being played... this amplifies the frustration ten fold because we are constantly playing and can level up and when we do its at a snails pace... this feels like one of the biggest scams. BF is an awesome concept PLEASE FIX YOUR ISSUES so it can be an AWESOME game

(I have all drive and software updates and running gaming graphics cards)

I have the sound loop crash bug only on the SIege of Shanghai where I can usually play for around 5 mins before it crashes. The strange thing is I played this map for hours during Beta and not a single crash.

Just if you are using onboard sound and it is Realtek be sure to set it at 16 khz sound quality and get the latest driver.
[] But if you disabled the onboard sound and tested but it did not work then you can eliminate that as the problem.
Also try to uninstall PB using pbsvc.exe in the Battlefield 4 folder then manually install. []

I have had an exceptionally bad night of this as well. Haven't been able to finish a match tonight in Dawnbreaker, Siege, Storm, or Railway. This has been happening to me since day one of the game's release. I will OCCASIONALLY get a "Battlefield 4 has stopped working", but 9/10 it's a hard lock up with sound looping. The "Locker" is the only one I'm able to get through.

BTW, I'm having this problem mostly on Siege of Shanghai. I don't know how, but each day I try to play this map the freeze/loop bs gets worst . I just entered a server with this map and my game froze with the loop sound in less than 10 seconds. I can only play it in Commander Mode.

Fix this shit already.

I noticed that every time it's gonna crash i'll get this unsynchronized audio things like: you can see collapsing building but there is no sound, then you get the sound of collapsing building when it's already down. Then it's like next 5 - 10 minutes of game and game freezes with sound loop. ocassionally i can manage to finish the game if there is less than 5 minutes to the end of the round. It happends sometimes, then map changes or loads again and the problem dissapears.

Anyone knows why the sound is getting unsynchronized?
