I've recently just brought BF4 for the PS3. I installed it and installed Patch 1.05 and I'm having some issues on multiplayer. I know there's been a lot of discussion about bugs, glitches and other stuff concerning this game but the main problem I'm having is it crashes on the loading map screen. I can play about two full matches without any problem but soon as the next map is about to load it crashes. It wont allow me to press the PS button on my controller so I have to turn my PS3 off by the off button and when I turn my PS3 back on it comes up with that message saying 'it wasnt turned off properly, data maybe corrupted' and then loads to 100% and I know its not a big issue but I'm just wanting to know if BF4 keeps on freezing and if I'm having to turn my PS3 off and then back on again and getting that same message about it wasnt turned off properly will it damage my console? And is there any chance of there being another patch soon about fixing the loading crashes?

I've already reinstalled the game and patch before anyone asks me to do that. My console is fine it plays BF3 without any problems.

Any feedback would be appreciated

It's getting fixed fully sooner or later, another two months and all should be fine. like an 85% chance,

Yeah kind of. They didn't have a broken map like dawnbreaker but seine and another map has terrible FPS drop and could make your system freeze.

Shiny sides if you aren't going to be pleasant in an obviously civil thread just go away... I don't care how angry you are just shut the hell up for a few.

I'm also curious if this kinda of "Hard Booting" of the PS3 is hardware/software damaging?

Ah ok. Thanks for the quick feedback.

But does turning your ps3 off and on again after the crashing and then getting the message 'your ps3 wasnt turned off properly' damage the console?

Can corrupt the save file but the console should be fine.
Modern day tech like PS3/X360 have failsafes in them for this type of thing.

Same problem here with every crash now... have to restore file system, check HDD, etc. (PS3)

Does it damage the console? I don't know, but it certainly isn't helping it.

I tried deleting everything and re-installing, changing settings, etc, but it still freezes that way with a system restore required. So in any case, I'm done playing until the next patch. I'll try then and see if it's better.

It took DICE over a year to fix the input lag on the controls for BF3. That's after they said that the controls weren't even broken in the first place.
Why did they finally release a patch to "fix" what they claimed wasn't broken? lol

All Battlefield games have had problems at release. BF2 on PC was crap at release too, though today's PC players seem to forget that.

if freezing to much go to server browser and click R3 and choose only your regions. and only pick matches with highest ping.. at least for now. It seemed to help me. but now it doesn't do it any more. now i just loose connection to session. I pre ordered it and played the beta before it came out and i must say huge huge fixes and changes its literally all i play when playing . great game great job dice.

Well today when I click campaign it loads an infinite loading screen, when I click to join a server it crashes on the black screen, when I test test range (thought I'd see if it worked) but that crashed aswel. Its becoming unplayable to the point where theres nothing to do but look at the menu screen
