Boost anti tank weapons

Considering tanks, apc and aa have unlimited ammo, active protection, reactive armour. Seeing a full hit sometimes even on the engine does only 19-24 damage. This makes camping a vehicle much more easy and is a bit discouraging for infantry. Anti tank weapons in real are usually a one hit kill. I can understand this would ruin the arcade part of the game. But 4 hits and sometimes more, fast repair aiblities or just regeneration makes it much to hard. Including anti tank mines which are easy to avoid. They do way to little damage.

You can do 50 damage in the butt of the tank. Active armor is only active for 2 seconds or less. Please.

The only thing I would do is make anti tank mines have no thermal signature. They shouldn't put off any more heat than a rock.

Otherwise,it's fine.
I'm a tank hunter myself and I think the game is pretty balanced in that regard.

The thing is with these noobs in the game is that they're all using MBT law. Why? Cause you hardly need to aim to get a hit. However... MBT law deals a very low amount of damage. By the time you shot the first or second rocket you're probably spotted and get rekt ez pz. Other than that you can't get the 50% damage shot in the back, cause it's autolock. So if you'd just start using weapons which need a little more skill you might kill a tank one day.

You have to be more tactical when taking on armour OP. The truth is a MBT does have an advantage over a lone infantry man, especially when engaging head on, it would be abnormal if it weren't this way.

In addition, a tank may have unlimited shells, but they can only put down so many rounds one after another before a cool down time kicks in for reloading, and they often find themselves targeted by multiple engineers and ground/air vehicles due to them being the bigger threat, so they don't have it all their own way.

Balance is fine, tanks should be able to handle multiple RPG's, it promotes teamwork to take the tank out.

Totally agree, how and why would a mine give off heat only in DICE's world.

Mines are way too visible in thermal/IRNV.
M2 Slams are slightly too weak (3 mines should kill tank).

Otherwise, balance is fine.

RPG to rear/top perpendicular deals 50-55 damage and a disable. SMAW does max 45 I believe.

Thermal on mines/slams/c4 is a joke.
It looks like a Javelin, Locks and fires like a Javelin, but sadly it hits like a frog on a skip.

Seems like many people in this forum think like you and me alike. Tanks are OP against infantry and they are always are meant to be but taking them out is the real challenge but I can't say the same for vice versa.

Even if you are a good tanker you still get C4 from time to time! Not only that you get bombarded with MBT LAW's and you are gone!
And sometimes even 3x C4 don't do the job to take down a tank.

As for mines and M2 slams they should be invinsible to thermal optics and that's from someone using thermals all the time in vehicles!


I think that tank vs infy (AT) is well balanced! It takes only 2 engies to take down one tank with teamwork.

You are tank hunter with 70 rpg kills? You have kd 1 while good tankers have kd 15 and you are saying game is balanced? Are you on crack?

2 shots is not easy enough.... he wants 1 shot.. just like all cheaters want working netcode for 1 shot headshots

I go 1v1 and some times 1 v3 tanks and win as infantry.. not always but sometimes.. its not hard..

@gengis069, it's even more simple when the tank has no gunner or something/someone else is distracting him.

1 vs 1 is not that hard but you must have some advantages (higher ground, cover, DICE LA camo...)

That`s the point of a vehicle, to be hard to kill and to be feared. You want to take one down, think as a team, don`t start crying about nerfing, also a good tank pilot will do just fine with or without IRNV scopes.

Play like a team and you'll be able to kill/counter tanks kinda easy. Besides that nothing stops you for using irnv/thermal in a tank. So if you think tanks are so OP go get a tank yourself and kill other tanks. Don't cry when a tank kills you if you're running with a RPG at him on your own.
