Welcome to Battlefield 1!

As Battlefield 1 is rolling out worldwide, I’m looking back on a journey that started with a daring pitch from the team here at DICE. Fast forward a few years, and it’s almost surreal to see you getting your hands on the final result, facing the dawn of all-out war with the rest of the community.

With Battlefield 1, we wanted to create a fresh new take on the franchise, keeping that classic and unmistakable flavor that is Battlefield intact. It was a gamble. We knew that.

But with such a unique game setting like the Great War, many unique gameplay options came with it. Judging from your reactions (not to mention how much fun we’ve had with the game ourselves) I dare say the gamble has paid off.

Nothing fills me more with joy than hearing your stories from the game – how you won that dog fight, found that weapon pickup, or turned that round of Conquest around at the last minute. I look forward to many more stories of that kind.

See you on the battlefield!

It’s been a long journey, but Battlefield™ 1 is almost here. If you’re an EA Access or Origin Access member, the Play First Trial* is just around the corner, arriving on October 13 – you can find full details on what’s included in the Battlefield 1 Play First Trial here. After that, it’s only a matter of days until the final game can be in your hands!
If you’ve already made up your mind, pre-ordering Battlefield 1 gives you seven-day early access to Giant’s Shadow, a new map coming in December. You’ll be able to try the map out a full week early, just for pre-ordering the game.

Still unsure which version to get? There are a few options.

If you pre-order the Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, you’ll have access to everything the game has to offer three days before the worldwide release on October 18. That edition also comes with the Hellfighter Pack (including themed items based on the heroic deeds of the Harlem Hellfighters), the Red Baron Pack (crammed with items inspired by the famous fighter pilot, the flying ace of the German air force), the Lawrence of Arabia Pack (with items and weapons based on the adventures of the famous archaeologist and diplomat), 3x vehicle skins, and 5x Battlepacks. There’s also the Battlefield 1 Ultimate Edition, which you can find out more about here.

And on October 21, everyone can deploy into the dawn of all-out war, when Battlefield 1 releases worldwide on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Origin for PC. If you want to pre-order any of the editions, head over to the Pre-Order page on Battlefield.com and pick which version you want.

We’ll see you on the battlefield!

Details on the Battlefield 1 Play First Trial for EA Access and Origin Access

Battlefield 1 is right around the corner, releasing worldwide on October 21 (or the 18th if you pre-order the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition). But your next chance to play is coming sooner than that – EA Access* and Origin Access* members can deploy on October 13 when the Play First Trial for Battlefield 1 releases, giving members ten hours of game time at the dawn of all-out war.

Five maps and four modes will be available, including St. Quentin Scar, Amiens, Sinai Desert, Fao Fortress and Suez in the Conquest, Rush, Operations, and Domination modes. There’s also a taste of the singleplayer campaign, with the missions Storm of Steel and Through Mud and Blood. Your progress carries over, too, if you decide to buy the full game after your Play First Trial ends.

EA Access and Origin Access members will also unlock content by playing between October 13 and October 20. You’ll be able to get an exclusive Trench Raider Dog Tag just for launching the game with the Play First Trial during that time – and if you play all ten hours before October 20, you’ll have a Battlepack waiting for you in the full game.

After the release of the Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, the rest of the maps and modes will open up (unless you’ve used all of your play time, that is). EA Access and Origin Access members also get 10% off if they decide to pick up the game, too! We can’t wait to see you on the battlefield.
